Money from nowhere? What the heck are you talking about? Pastor Bob is
one of the most humble guys you will ever meet. He has a real love for
people and is a genuine Christian. He is far from rich. He was a big
part of the reason there even was a Christian metal scene in the 80's.
It was by his hands that bands like Vengeance Rising were brought
together. He was a minister not only to the fans, but to the bands
themselves.

He travels and preaches at metal festival throughout the world,
including the U.S. He didn't rely on the money of others to do this but
sold most of his worldly belongings to do so. If you want to do the
same, go for it. No one is stopping you. Sell your "obscure" collection
and go on the road. However, shut the heck up about Pastor Bob. He's
done nothing to deserve your accusations.

WOW!!!!!!!! Well said Scott.. I can`t add anything to that.. But your right bro... He did sell all of his belongings to want he is doing.

Dude,,, echoing preivous sentiment by Ult and others you really don't know Bob at all. He came up to the San Francisco Bay area met with me and members of Soldier and Crossforce about starting a church. Not another Sanctuary (he told us he didn't want to be another Chuck Smith). He encouraged us and offered any help he could in making "Refuge" (the name we gave to our Bay Area Fellowship) successful. He never married, much in the vein of the Apostle Paul, because he knew it would deter from his preaching the gospel. Bob isn't perfect, but he has dedicated his life to reaching people in the metal sub-culture.

Sorry that Perra 'failed' you as well. I wonder how many other fans/collectors have asked for the same thing you did. If you've never lived in the public eye you have no idea how hard it is to make everybody 'happy'. Sorry your expectations weren't lived up to.

Sacred Warriors best disc I thought was 'Obsessions'... Best produced and some really heavy stuff. 'temples on fire', 'mad man', 'fire from heaven'.... WOW!!!

Saw 'em in 89 at C-Stone. they were good...

i never accused a person i don't know personally for anything. neither i called him a thief or whatever. the fact is that he auctioned his collection-most of these items he got them for free. and some of them went for big $ in ebay(just check the popsike site). at least my "obscure"-i don't know what really does this means, how can be "obscure" to me from the moment i have it?-collection is all that i have mentally and physically and it means much more to me than anything else, call it preaching or trip or missionary, i could care the less. and i never got it for free. neither i was the person who wrote the words in the covers of many christian metal bands saying how cool and good they are and how people should get their stuff etc etc. this was actually my point. how a person who used to write these words suddenly decides to sell that stuff for whatever reason. sorry if my poor english 'caused a misunderstanding about his character.

as for his preachings etc etc again i don't care. but sure when i pay a ticket for a metal gig all i want to hear is some burning metal to bring chill in my spine, shouting loud the lyrics and banging my head. not some preachings from anybody either a christian either a muslim either a scientologist.simply as that! crystal logic! and sure i don't care if he wants to live like Paul. i live already in a land that Paul has walked. and i saw many who followed his example. all the best and power to them! he could produce music or light a fire by knocking 2 stones against each other if he wants to like the olde days, power to him!

as for parra, again i care the less. from the moment he wrote me that he was going to send me a copy for free i understood that i never would get it. and i didn't wrote what i wrote in bitterness. the topic was for sacred warrior and i remembered this fact. i tried to find his emails but i've already deleted them so you would consider that i never wrote it if you like. but please allow me to judge his attitude with my own criteria. i saw better( at least for me) and more well known bands with better attitude. i wouldn't include s.warrior even in my personal top100 if you think that i'm still angry about it.

as for the production of obsessions etc etc etc i really don't care at all. i'm a hardcore metalhead and if the music is godly then i'll bang my head to it even if it came from the bottom of a well. that's also the meaning of trading some s***** bootlegs from your favorite bands.
when i saw the mighty anvil for a first time in a s*****hole in italy to a what i still consider my best gig ever i was so impatient so when lips came to the stage and started tuning his guitar i shout at him " come on, tuning is for posers" hehehe.....after that i stole his pink vibrator when he finished p***y poison in the middle of the "big crowd" of 70 people....hope that you will not accuse me and for that also....

sorry also for my bad english. i learnt them just to be able to sing and read the lyrics of my favorite bands....i bet you, though, that it's better than your greek....

now back to the topic: i believe that sacred warrior has some great tracks in all of their albums. it's just that more of them where in master's command. at least they made some lps and didn't stay in completely underground situation like so many other great chistian metal bands. once i heard that they would be reforming but this never happened due to the distance between the members of the band. and once i found a chick that he wrote me that he had many bootlegs of them. but she never replied back. perhaps they should manage to release another live( but with less preachings and more raw sound, sorry!).

I've been trying to get a hold of some mp3's of Demo 2001 for forever (or at least since 2001?)

Great band, great ministry. The only disc I don't care for as much as the others is Wicked Generation. From the album cover to the whole theme of the album, it just didn't do it for me like Master's Command did. I remember being initally pretty dissapointed with that one.

I only have Rebellion and Master's Command (lucky to have those considering how much it costs to get the later ones) thanks to KMG re-issues but love both of them (Master's Command slightly more) and if the others are ever re-issued I would love to get more. Great old school power metal with uplifting Christian lyrics.

You could probably find them on eBay, although I have no clue on how much they go for.

Rebellion and Wicked Generation are two of my favorite Sacred Warrior albums. I got them from my dad on my birthday one year.

I have Classics on now! This is my favorite Christian metal band ever. Ray Perra is an amazing singer; and these guys knew how to write melodic, progressive, accessible music. That's a rare combo.

I'd rank the albums like this:

1. Obsessions
2. Rebellion
3. Live Cornerstone 2001
4. Wicked Generation
5. Master's Command

These guys were my favourite Christian metal band in the early 90s -I played them so much every note is burnt into my brain (may also explain why I haven't played them much lately.... probably overdosed on it!) Had a Wicked Generation tour shirt which I stupidly got rid of some years ago Evil or Very Mad . On the whole, they wrote really solid melodic metal -Rey Parra was an awesome vocalist who just grabbed your attention, and Tony Velsazquez laid down some killer double bass work. I'd probably pick Obsessions as my favourite, as I feel it's their strongest, with a mix of killer aggressive metal like Fire from Heaven alongside equally powerful ballads like Turning Back. For sheer metalness, though, you can't go past Master's Command :bangyerhead: . Rebellion was a solid debut with soem great tracks (and some OK ones), and Wicked Generation was an interesting concept with some strong songs, but I'd pick Obsessions and Master's Command as their best IMHO!

I'm spinning Rebellion now, and the hook on "Master of Lies" with Ray singing for the skies is one of the best SW tunes ever. I love this song.

Incredible band! Wicked Generation is my favorite and the first SW album I bought when it came out. I then went back and discovered the first two and was even more blown away. Obsessions is a masterpiece of metal imo. I need Rebellion and Master's Command to complete my collection. I only have cdrs of these two. I downloaded them when they were available on the SW website. I dont even know if that website is even still around?

This is one of those bands that should re-united. This band was great, all of their albums are good.

I saw the original copy from Obsessions some years ago on a store from NY, I didn't know about that album from the band, so I couldn't believe it was them. So when I went back to the store It was gone. fainting
