| No the title is not a typo. I am looking for bands that you generally like but have released that one album you hate, or have gone into a direction that you dislike. Holy Soldier (ugh! Promise Man! "We're getting back to our roots! Yeah right! Why can't bands just admit they are following trends.) Def Leppard ("we were never really a heavy metal band, we were always a pop band." Blah, blah, freakin' blah!) Guardian (I got a bottle rocket, I got a bottle rocket! BARF!) Bride (rapcore? really Dale?) Randy Rose (one mistep, but still had to be included) Megadeth ("Crush, Crush 'Em! Blech!) Metallica (hard to believe that the band the released the abysmal St. Anger is the mightly metal machine that inspired hordes of metal bands in the 80's and 90's.) Genesis (brilliant prog rock band put on the red velvet and starts playing music I would expect to hear at the local Holiday Inn lounge) Tourniquet (one of my favorites, but "Crawl to China" was a real misstep IMO) KISS (yes, one of my all time favorite bands that I obsess over has released a clunker or two. I know, hard to believe, but it's true. ) _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

(one of my favorites, but "Crawl to China" was a real misstep IMO) It had its moments, but I must agree! Bride lost nearly a decade, I'm sorry to say ... I'm gonna get hated for this, but............Iron Maiden - Somewhere In Time and Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son. Just too slick and all synthy...just my opinion....wadded panties need not apply ! Mortification - The Silver Chord Is Severed - Everything else is good to great but this one is just flat. Don't know what happened, but Erasing The Goblin is a super return to form!

| Judas Priest (the greatest band ever, however the ripper era was atrocious) Manowar (oh how the mighty have fallen) Kreator (Endorama wasn't bad, but it wasn't Kreator) Iron Maiden (basically the Blaze albums) Helloween (listening to Chameleon, all i could say is WTF???) _________________ | |

| Skid Row (Should ve disbanded when baz left imo) Iron Maiden ( The X Factor really blew it for me) Six Feet Under (Those cover discs were horrible) Machine Head (The Burning Red, even though this disc isnt half bad, they followed the trend as always and made a nu metal cd blah) Life of Agony (Soul Searching Sun, LOA really tried to go commercial here, again not a bad cd after repeated spins, but upon first listen woah is this the same band).
Of Course Metallica and Megadeth

| WORD brother on Tq and Bride. Bride went from metal, to rock, grunge crap, rapcore....ugh...
Vengeance Rising - I always felt that Once Dead paled in comparison to the rest. I loved Human Sacrifice, Destruction Comes and RM's final, Released Upon The Earth. But once dead is just plain awful IMO.
Deliverance - Certainly had its stumbles. I absolutely LOVE SOE, however looking back, I now see that cd as the stylistic turning point that lead to some abysmal releases. Learn...I like but far from their standards...Assimilation is absolutely horrible. CIS is some kind of low budget, hard rock release.

| I've gotta disagree on two of those,Ult. Tourniquet-Crawl to China(While its not in the same thrash vein as their others its still a catchy album, just a little more melodic than most of their fans like.) Bride-Fistfull of Bees(I really liked it when it came out.I listened to it frequently for months. Not a bad album at all. Some that come to mind for me: Metallica-ST Anger Firehouse-anything after their first two are all down hill,IMO. Testament-Demonic(One of my fave bands, and I love every other release of theirs,I just dont care for the vocals on this.) | |

Dangerous Toys - The Artist 4merly Know As

| Slayer - I remember when these guys took a dumpster dive in music and haven't done well to me since. From "Diabolus in Musica" til present has been one huge turd!
Black Sabbath - "Forbidden" - What were they thinking???? This album is LAME!

| 'Promise Man' has some good music on it...not Metal, but it's still good. "Rust" sounds like something that would have fit on Queensryche's 'Empire'... |

Testament-Demonic(One of my fave bands, and I love every other release of theirs,I just dont care for the vocals on this.) Crawl to China has it's moments, but it doesn't come near the greatness of their first three albums, or even Vanishing Lessons IMO. It seemed like they were trying to please as many people as possible by writing different styles of music. Not their finest hour IMO. Basically, it's a direction I didn't like, thus I included them. Fistful of Bees is ruined by Dale trying to be a rapper. The guy is a screaming and singing machine and he tried to RAP just because it was popular at the time with bands like P.O.D. and Rage Against the Machine. Ruined that album for me. Again, a direction I didn't care for, thus I included it. Someone mentioned QUEENSRYCHE and I couldn't agree more. Definitely a band that took a left turn from the dirction I would have liked to have seen them go. Someone else mentions Dangerous Toys - The Artist 4merly Know As, and again, I agree. What the heck happened there? Yikes! _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

Someone else mentions Dangerous Toys - The Artist 4merly Know As, and again, I agree. What the heck happened there? Yikes! That was me both times. I recently listened to that Dangerous Toys again, just to seee if maybe it wasn't as bad as I remembered it. Maybe I've matured a bit and could listen to it with an open mind and hear it differently. Nope. Still a stinker in an otherwise decent catalog of music. Like quite a few 80's "hair bands", they tried to change with the times and release a darker, more mature, grungy/alt cd and it fails miserably. Stick to sleazy c*ock rock, boys.

| Dream Theater - Falling into Infinity. After Images and Words and Awake, this one is lame. They get redemption points for Scenes Froma Memory.
Anthrax - Stomp 442. I've tried to like it, I just can't.

IMO, 'FII' is a much better album than the overblown, pseudo-epic 'SFaM'... |
