This show must've been a death sentence for the careers of all the cast members involved. I've never seen any of them since.

Actually, I mis-remembered Mr. Smith's job title. According to that link I posted, he wasn't President, but an ADVISOR to the President.

Reagan was in office at the time the show aired, so maybe that didn't seem like much of a stretch?
