Any other fans of Meliah Rage? Their albums with original singer Mike Munro (Killto Survive, Live Kill, Solitary Solitude, Death Valley Dream, UnfinishedBusiness) can't be beat, but their new material (BarelyHuman and The Deep and Dreamless Sleep) are lyrically cheesy snore fests to me.
Thoughts?

The only one I ever heard was DEEP AND DREAMLESS SLEEP, and it did nothin' for me.
I ended up trading it to Ult on Lala, in fact.

That album did nothing for me as well. I bought it new and sold it off within a week.

So how does their discography vary? I have one (I think it's Kill to Survive) and I like it. I would like to hear more if they are at all similar.

Solitary Solitude is a continuation of Kill to Survive in vibe. Although I think SS is a better album. Death Valley Dream is also very good.
Barely Human and The Deep and Dreamless Sleep have a new singer, and in my opinion a different vibe that doesn't appeal to me.
If I were to pick up anything by them it would be Solitary Solitude.

Solitary Solitude is the only one I own. I like it, but I've never gotten around to picking up any of their other releases.

From Blabbermouth...
Veteran Massachusetts metallers MELIAH RAGE have parted ways with vocalist Paul Souza. The band will immediately begin the search for a replacement while continuing to work on its next release.
"Back in 2003 when we decided to start making new music again after six years off, Paul was the first person we called when original vocalist Mike Munro decided that he could not commit to touring," explained MELIAH RAGE founder Anthony Nichols.
He added, "Paul has recorded two records with us and played over 100 live shows (including a recent tour with METAL CHURCH) since joining the band. We will always consider Souza a friend and an important part of MELIAH RAGE history."
Like Munro, Souza was unable to meet the new touring schedule that looms in the near future for band.
MELIAH RAGE had its latest CD, "The Deep and Dreamless Sleep" (2006), released in Europe on July 27 via Locomotive Music. The band's seventh release overall, and third for Screaming Ferret Wreckords, the CD was recorded at Danger Multitrack Studios in Providence, RI, and Sherwood Forest Studios in Bedford, MA.
Originally formed in 1985, MELIAH RAGE was often associated with the then-burgeoning thrash metal scene, which resulted in a major label contract and their 1988 metal classic, "Kill to Survive". In the ensuing years, the group played with some of metal's most renowned names — SLAYER, MEGADETH, TESTAMENT, MANOWAR, MORBID ANGEL, METAL CHURCH, and NUCLEAR ASSAULT. The group also included GODSMACK frontman Sully Erna in their ranks (as a drummer) during the early '90s.

Solitary Solitude and Kill to Survive are the thrash classics (with bad album covers). But me being not so much of a thrash guy, my favorite is the more straightforward Death Valley Dream. They are all good though, but I haven't heard the last few.

MELIAH RAGE: In Mixing Mode - Nov. 8, 2008
Veteran Massachusetts metallers MELIAH RAGE are currently mixing their as-yet-untitled new album at The Outpost in Stoughton, Massachusetts for an early 2009 release. The CD will be mastered at the end of November by producer Rich Spillberg (WARGASM), who has worked with everyone from STEEL ASSASSIN to JOSH GROBAN. According to the group, "The music on the record is much faster and heavier than the past few records and will feature a guest appearance by METAL CHURCH frontman Ronny Munroe."
MELIAH RAGE this past summer announced the return of the band's original frontman, Mike Munro.
After singer Paul Souza exited the band late last year, a six-month search for a suitable replacement began, which led to a dead end. That is, until producer Rich Spillberg suggested that they should contact Munro and get back to their roots.
Having left MELIAH RAGE over a decade ago, Munro is back for more, joining bandmates Anthony Nichols (guitar), Jim Koury (guitar), Darren Lourie (bass), and Stu Dowie (drums).
MELIAH RAGE had its latest CD, "The Deep and Dreamless Sleep" (2006), released in Europe on July 2007 via Locomotive Music. The band's seventh release overall, and third for Screaming Ferret Wreckords, the CD was recorded at Danger Multitrack Studios in Providence, RI, and Sherwood Forest Studios in Bedford, MA.

Those first albums are essential pieces of power/thrash!
I didn't care for The Deep And Dreamless Sleep. It had maybe one or two songs that were ok, but for the most part it was kinda boring...
That video Spec posted was pretty good. Sounds A LOT more like the Meliah Rage I enjoyed than their last few do, that's for damn sure! Shows that Jim Koury and Anthony Nichols can still ride the shyte out of 3 or 4 riffs for one song, and still make it interesting!

Song's not bad. I still only own Solitary Solitude, which I enjoy. Someday I'll track down their other stuff. Although judging by some of the posts here, I might skip the last one. Kind of a snoozer, huh?

MG, if you get anymore Meliah, get Kill To Survive and Death Valley Dream. They both have original singer Mike Munro. The other 2 albums have some gargatuan bald guy that lacks balls when he sings.
