we get christmas eve and christmas day and then new years eve and day off The Christmas 'season' usually lasts for a month and a week. From the day after Thanksgiving to New Years. It's a crazy over here during this time. All kinds of people shopping, santa clauses everywhere. I hate the whole 'commercial' aspect of it, but I do like Christmas time. |

| I'm going to go visit my mom in the old folks home, and have the turkey dinner they make for them there. It's pretty scary how at home I feel at the nursing home...just a few more years and I'll be there to stay myself I guess. | |

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thanksgiving_%28Canada%29 I don't know, it seems kind of like an important event in your native land.

Actually, here in Texas, we got a little snow (no acculmulation, but still...over here anything but sleet is rare). The kids were in awe, however, spending three months in boot camp in Great Lakes, IL (January-March) I have a natural dislike for snow and wasn't impressed (I always say I can go the rest of my life without ever seeing snow again).

| We got some here in New Mexico too (although that's pretty normal). We're quite a bit more mild that Colorado but we usually do get some here. |
