I don't understand the big deal.
This thread virtually never goes off topic, nor do people talk that
much. Ocassionally, maybe. But what's the point of having a thread to
just post lists of purchases? What does that serve? This is the only
forum that I've even been on that only wants lists posted and no talk.

It's not my forum, however, so do as you guys please.

I don't have anything against short posts, but I would prefer having
all those loooooong posts that can occasionaly be found here in a
separate thread.

There are some good albums in that haul.

With all this talk about Goodwill shops, I figured I'd seek out all those around me. I only knew of one, but there's actually one even closer to me. So I took a trip out there. I didn't score anything amazing, like SM74 did, but for $0.75 a piece, I can't complain:

if you dig it...Wounded Bird Records put out a cd reissue that combine both their studio discs...thats killer.

I think you are missing out on 2 of the lost gems from the 80's if you don't pick it up. Plus the originals are 42 billion dollars a piece. The sound quality is great on the 2 on 1. I have it myself.

My favorite Metallica album of all time. The first time I've had it on CD, before I had a tape and for some odd reason never sought it out when I switched to CDs.

It's actually really good. The recordings are excellent. The liner notes say there were no overdubs or anything. Not sure if I believe that, because it sounds that good, but since it's a collection of live songs, not one show, I guess I can believe it. And maybe they had small crowds at their shows, that's why there's minimal crowd noise. Either way, it sounds great...and the songs are killer!

I also got Volume 8 - The Threat Is Real by Anthrax through lala, but the CD was cracked in two places. Guess it's my turn. This is the second in a week and my third cracked disc overall. It's pissing me off. Now I know why some that have had worse luck than me are livid. It takes a lot of pressure to break a CD, so something is wrong with this new process.
