King Gizzard

Idk if their whole discog will resonate with everyone, but when Gizz decides to do metal they always knock it out of the park. I've seen them live 3 times now and they are a commanding presence, like a force of nature. One of the coolest bands around now, they do whatever they want. Sometimes a psych jam band, sometimes a tightly composed prog rock band, sometimes prog thrash/doom, sometimes jazz-rock fusion -- and it all works somehow.

Wondered if anyone here is a fan.

I love King Gizz, not really keen on their metal stuff but the psych/prog rock releases? Simply amazing.

To be honest, the two videos posted above did nothing for me. Gonna check out the fusion stuff mentioned, and go from there. I'd wager the prog stuff would sound like modern Maiden with Dianno singing it.

fair nuff, lol. can be a love em or hate em type group.

they're crazy in that they've been around since like 2011 & they've released 27 full length LPs so far. absolute bonkers work ethic, and I've enjoyed most of what I've heard from them.
