That is an awesome box (IMHDO) Even if it has "Back In Black" in it.

I love Back In Black even if it has been overplayed.

Jack Russell's passing inspired me to fill a couple of long-standing holes in my Great White collection:
Great White - Shot in the Dark (Japan press w/obi)
Great White - Recover

I needed to get the f*ck outta the house today so I ended up -- where else? -- at the second hand music shop:
Alice Cooper - Love it to Death Skid Row - B-Side Ourselves Green Day - Dookie (replaces skipping, scratched-to-shit previous copy)
aaaand:
KISS - Crazy Nights Yes, I finally bit the damn bullet and bought this CD even though I abso-friggin-lutely hate this album, just for the sake of completing my KISS studio discography. Damn collector's OCD...

After revisiting Crazy Nights awhile back it's ok. The production was way too slick. There's nothing more cringe worthy than those 2 new tracks on Smashes,Thrashes and Hits. Those two songs make me wanna hurl every time I hear one of them.

I gave Crazy Nights a couple of listens simply to justify the purchase and I still think it sucks. Like you said, it's too slick, but even if it wasn't too slick, the songs simply aren't that good. The only one that's passable is "Thief in the Night," though I prefer the version of it that Gene produced for Wendy O. Williams on her "W.O.W." three years earlier.
So that CD is just gonna rot on my shelf from now on, but hey, at least I can say my KISS collection is complete.
I agree w/you on the two "new" songs on Smashes... too. They're both God-awful. Now I remember why I was AWOL from the KISS Army during that period!

Crazy Nights did make me AWOL from the KISS Army for a while, too. I wouldn't buy anything from them for a period of time . KISS had become followers instead of leaders at this point in their career.
