To All A Good Night (1980)
A group of female finishing school students and their boyfriends are being murdered one by one during a Christmas party by a psychopath dressed as Santa Claus. That's pretty much the plot to this early entry in the slasher genre. Not too bad of a film, with some decent kills and some nice eye candy.
Black Christmas (2006)
First remake of the early 70s classic about an escaped psychopath terrorizing a sorority house during Christmas break and a snow storm. A little nastier than the original with some really wild different and creepy plot changes. This is the first time I've seen this and it's well worth a viewing for sure. I'll try and catch it every year around this time from here on out.

Dark Harvest (2023)
Set in the early 60's, a small Illinois town deals with a demonic creatures dubbed Sawtooth Jack, that emerges from the cornfields near town and works its way to the town church. The town teens must fast for 3 days in isolation before donning masks and hunt the creature and stop it, lest there be devastation to the town and it's crops. The teen who kills it is awarded an new corvette and money to travel the country, while the family is awarded a nice brand new house. Of course, the town harbors a much darker secret. This movie comes across as a mixture of the Purge, Children of the Corn and even Pumpkinhead, due to the creature's slight appearance and origin. I thought it was a pretty good film.
The Running Man (1987)
Set in the far flung dystopian future of 2019, a falsely convicted policeman Arnold Schwarzenegger) is given the chance for a pardon by entering the most popular television program, the Running Man, where the contestants run a gauntlet while being hunted down by costumed gladiators. Of course, with it being Arnie, the gladiators don't stand a chance, getting taken out followed by a one liner. Based on a story by Stephen King, this movie sports a great cast, including Maria Conchita Alonso, Jesse Ventura, Jim Brown and the show stealing Richard Dawson as the game show host. Fun stuff.

Watched these over the past few nights while trying to kick a particularly nasty cough/cold:
"RoboCop 3" (1993)
Robert John Burke takes over the Robo-Suit from Peter Weller in this cartoonish 3rd installment. The evil OCP corporation has been sold to a Japanese concern, who plan to bulldoze an entire Detroit neighborhood to build their city of the future. RoboCop joins a street-level resistance movement to fight back against the corporate creeps. Not as ultra-violent as the previous two films, but there's some decent mayhem and a couple of good laughs. Better than the awful '90s TV series or the 2014 remake, anyway.
"The Shadow" (1994)
Russell "Highlander" Mulcahy directed this adaptation of the 1930s pulp-fiction hero. Alec Baldwin plays the mysterious night-time avenger, protecting New York from a descendent of Genghis Khan who wants to pick up where his ancestor left off. A cool period piece action flick that's kind of like a mix of "Indiana Jones" and Tim Burton's "Batman."
"The People vs. Larry Flynt" (1996)
Woody Harrelson plays the infamous publisher of Hustler magazine in this comedy-drama that follows Larry Flynt's unlikely rise from small time strip club owner to multi-millionaire porn kingpin. Along the way he manages to piss off virtually everyone he comes into contact with, and becomes the centerpiece of a very important Supreme Court decision on free speech and freedom of the press. Courtney Love is perfectly cast as Larry's skeevy, drug addled wife Althea. Directed by Milos ("One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest") Forman. Great flick!
