It was a great year for huge blockbuster songs. If I really think hard about my favourite, I will end up listening to hours of music, and comparing all the tunes. So I'm just gonna go with my gut feeling of "Ain't Talkin' Bout Love" by Van Halen.

The first album that came to mind when I saw "1978" was AC/DC's Powerage, so I'm gonna go with my favorite song off of that... "Sin City."
...but if you asked me tomorrow, I might give you a completely different answer, like Rainbow's "Long Live Rock N Roll," Boston's "Dont Look Back," or anything off of Van Halen, Stained Class, Ace Frehley's solo album, or the Ramones' Road To Ruin.
