Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty (1978) Main Street by Bob Weber (1976)
One has that killer alto sax hook The other has a tasty guitar hook Which one do you like better, and as usual, why?

I have always loved Baker Street!
The overall vibe is super chill and smooth. The sax is iconic, but the guitar solo soars like a bird.

I like both songs. But I like Baker Street way more.

Gerry Rafferty sax hook for the win!
I can't tell you how many times I've found myself whistling that saxophone bit.

Main Street for me....
Just after the tune came out, I was spending lots of time @ the clubhouse with my old man. There were lots of topless scooter tramps hanging bout, most were dancers at the local titty bars. I fell in love quite often back then. Hear that song, it is a flash back to that place and time.

It’s actually been my ringtone for the last couple years!
