There are way too many to choose from, but being a huge fan, I'll go with KISS.

Probably Van Halen followed by Boston.
They both had a different and unique overdriven guitar sound and great songs! Eddie had his “brown sound” and Tom had the “rockman” sustain.

I really liked The Cars. I was amazed by it, as a young kid.
Was Billy Squire - debut - “ In The Dark “ ? That guitar riff for Lonely Is The Night - so cool !

VH, growing up in So. Calif. made them "OUR" band.
That band with Blackmore and Dio put a decent debut too.

Yes they did. I was actually coming here to edit my reply above and add it to my list.

That's another great one and another one I spin regularly. I gained a new affection for the album after "Moving In Stereo" was used in a classic movie scene.

Most likely Van Halen I, thought I really like "Can't Buy A Thrill" from Steely Dan and the very first KISS album.

My old lady says The Cars & Foreigner are her choice. "They are joined at the hip" in her strong Appalachia (hillbilly) accent.
