I always thought Mick Ralphs of Bad Company was very underrated.
Him and Paul Rogers were really a cool match rock duo.

He was in two very prolific bands, Mott The Hoople & Bad Co. Yet it you say his name, a lot of people would recognize the bands before his name. Great choice for an under the radar 70's guitar player.

I went with Tony Bourge although Kath is right there too but I’ve been on a Budgie binge lately. Another one that comes to mind is Larry “Rhino” Reinhardt. His work on the Captain Beyond stuff is outstanding.
