For most, I don't think it's that they don't care. It's that they are to lazy, disinterested, and / or ignorant to realize what's going on. They will literally be the "that can't happen HERE" crowd too few research for themselves. They just swallow whatever regurgitated bullshit they heard on the news without looking into the veracity of said "news".

I never thought we should have been IN Afghanistan to begin with. Strategic targeting of Taliban assets, training grounds, etc and bombing it all to the shithouse SHOULD have been the response.
