Same here. I didn't own any Zep on CD till about ten years ago. I didn't have to, cuz if I wanted to hear LZ, all I had to do was put on the local classic rock station and wait a few minutes.

I too am new to the Zeps. For a while, my collection was limited to a double best of. A couple of months ago, i picked up two of their studio albums at my local record shop (which happens to be mainly specialized in classic rock).

I find its cool when I finally 'get' a band.

Only band that falls into this topic for me recently, is probably W.A.S.P.. I was a huge fan of their debut album when it was released, but then my musical tastes changed and up until a few years ago I never really checked them out again. I definitely missed out, because so far as I've been slowly getting caught up on their stuff, I haven't run across a bad album yet. For whatever reason I always put them in the one and done types of bands. Quiet Riot is like that to me. One decent album, then nothing but crap after. Boy was I wrong, W.A.S.P. was legitimately a badass band I bailed on too soon.

The local big rock station here in L.A. (KLOS) had that same Zep show for a long time.

I've never bothered in getting any Led Zep because I figure if I wanna hear any of it, all I need to do is turn the radio on and I'll hear some right quick.

True, except the radio doesn’t play the deep tracks. But I see what you’re saying.

Actually, I would get the Zep discography on CD but it always seems pricier than normal and there's much more I would rather buy first.

I have the excellent “Mothership” compilation cd. And the most recent remaster of Houses of the Holy.

After sitting for years on just owning a best of box set and Song Remains the Same, I bought the box set The Complete Studio Recordings about ten years ago or so. Not much extras, but it's a cool set if you're looking to get their discography. Cheapest one on discogs is about $35.00 plus shipping. Looks to be in somewhat decent shape even, especially for the money.

This is the compilation that I own too. I was told it pretty much covers most of the band's career. I also have Presence and III.

Not very recently but just in the last couple of years:
Freedom Call: Though I have known about them for years, I never sought out anything from them despite hearing many good things about them. I had planned on exploring them but forgot about them with so many on my wantlist vying for attention. Two years ago I came across a CD at a used CD place but the price was too high so I was going to look for it. I found it and liked it so much I got the CD that just came out that year (M.E.T.A.L.). My next step was a 4 in one album collection. I've done a purchase like that before and it helped fill a full collection. However, this turned out to have only two full albums. The other two were a best of and a live album.
I then began to one by one get every album and early this past year I now own every album.

There was an amazing rock and metal show that used to air late, on mondays. I miss such shows.

Yeah, I have that one already. Dark Revolution.
I didn't look for Thousand Men Strong because I saw it has a different singer.

My first TB album was No Remorse. I love it. Can't understand why it got so many bad reviews.
