Before we hit the road for the Queensryche gig last night, my buddy let me dig thru a pile of old promo CDs he's trying to get rid of and said "help yourself to anything that looks interesting," so I grabbed these two:
Chinchilla - Madness Sinner - The End of Sanctuary

Finally bought a new CD. I'm pretty sure it's only the 2nd or 3rd one I've bought all year and probably only maybe the 5th or 6th new music I've bought all year.

Today's mail:
Various - The Broken Law: A Tribute to Judas Priest -- a repackaging of the Hell Bent Forever tribute originally released by Deadline Records in 2005. I am reasonably sure that this is the first and only time that Vince Neil, Firehouse, and Sepultura (!) have all appeared on the same album
AC/DC - On The Highway to Melbourne (live broadcast from Aussie radio, 1988)

So this morning my 14 year old asks me if we can take a ride to the used music/book/etc. store because he wanted to trade in a bunch of old video games. I sez "Pffft, like I need an excuse to go to the record store?"
He got $20 for his stack of old games, and I got this stack of CDs for just under $20 so it was a decent afternoon for us both:
Suicidal Tendencies - Still Cyco After All These Years Jimmy Page/Robert Plant - No Quarter The Sword - Age of Winters Monster Magnet - Dopes To Infinity Thrashit - Satan Say's More Beer! (sic)*
*For those who are wondering "Who/what the f**k is 'Thrashit?', they're S.O.D./Municipal Waste style crossover/thrash from Chile. I never heard of 'em either, but I couldn't resist a CD with that title, esp. cuz it was only two bucks
Even better, the lyric sheet is pure "Engrish," which adds another level of unintentional comedy.

Great picks. Madness is one hell of an album. Picked my copy for 10 euros a few years ago.
Pretty rare too, i guess.

Pantera - Projects in the Jungle Pantera I Am the Night
Yes, they're bootlegs. No, I don't care.
This gives me 3 out of the 4 "Glam-tera" albums; I'm still debating whether or not to spring for a Metal Magic CD to complete the set, cuz that album kinda sucks

When I was making room for these on my CD shelf last night, I noticed that the title on the spine of the Projects disc is "Projects in A Jungle," not "...the Jungle." Haha.
