October Love

Anybody have a ritual that they do in October ?
At least buy a pumpkin for the door. Lol.

Listen to a King Diamond / Mercyful Fate CD each day.
A few DVD movies too that I like to break out.
Witches of Eastwick, Practical Magic, Red Violin.
Anybody else ?

I am more of a sunny days guy. I hate October. Starts getting dark early...

Makes me wanna spin some Pentagram and Candlemass.

I break out my King's Halloween Comp! I also start to listen to Ghoultown, Coffinshakers and other seasonal albums.

I try to catch as many horror shows and movies as possible. My wife goes all out in decorating the house and that's about it.

I listen to a lot more Misfits and Mercyful Fate during this season than I do the rest of the year.

Fall is my favorite time of year.  I love the cooler temps, watching the leaves change and then ultimately fall to the ground and of course I love Halloween.  Although this year I'm not sure what "Mr. Full-Size Candy Bars" is going to do for Trick or Treating.  I don't know how many of the neighborhood kids are going TrTing this year but I'd hate to ruin my neighborhood reputation as The Guy because after living here for 15 years I've started getting kids who tell me their older siblings said they HAD to hit my house!  But I really don't want to get too close to the little Petri-dishes.


But more back on topic, one song I always listen to over and over during this time of year is Blue Oyster Cult's "Harvest Moon" from the Heaven Forbid album.  I think the lyrics and overall mood of the music fit October perfectly:

Bride's All Hallow's Eve is of course a must.

I love this time of year and will watch some Horror movies and we decorate.

I usually try and watch some horror movies to get into the spirit of the season. I haven't got around to it yet. Perhaps one of the Friday the 13th movies, and perhaps one of the Freddy Krueger movies as well.

not if you live in California! You do not even have to do it in a brown bag anymore...

Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the cooler temps and the leaves changing colors. Halloween is my favorite holiday. I usually binge on horror movies all month long and of course a yearly tradition is to watch the original Halloween.
