Definitely Flotsam! But also get their 2nd album No Place for Disgrace.

I'd say Poets and Madmen then Flots.

Doomsday for the Deceiver is the best album in my opinion.

Fates warning cd is one of those albums that i need to get. Still know nothing about it.

Dead Again!!! But that Flotsam and Jetsam album is a must have. Mercyful fate is just more of an October pick than any of the others listed.

This FW album is unique in their discography, but far from the best, no matter what era you enjoy. The most straightforward metal though.

Flotsam And Jetsam. You won't be disappointed.

Have you never heard that album before? If not, you're in for a treat. They were often compared to metallica back during the time that album came out. In a lot of ways they were better than them IMO. they have other great releases also, if your looking for more.

It was big news when Jason got the Metallica gig.....
Everyone talked about the band he came from....like a trivia question....
but from what I remember.....a lot of bands at that time sounded like them etc etc...
I just listened to a song by Newsted today - Crows fly - he looks intimidating for sure....
Why did he break from James and Lars ?

I only got to pick up this flots album last January. One of the best metal albums ever. I cannot understand how i ignored it all these years.

This isn't really even close, Flotz! That album had the distinction of being the only record in Kerrang history, which received more than a perfect rating out of 5. It actually got a 6 out of 5. I'm not sure how that happens, but it did.
