OCTOBER 31

OK, a lot of you know who OCTOBER 31 is. King Fowley from Deceased, Brian "Hellstorm" Williams (who I was in K-OCTAVE with), & Jim Hunter (also of TWISTED TOWER DIRE and WHILE HEAVEN WEPT).

Anyway, what you may NOT know is I spent a short few months as the lead singer! I never got to record with the band, BUT I did play a couple of live shows with them. One of which was in Raleigh, NC in April of 2000. There is a live video of me singing Saxon's "Power & The Glory" from this show on YouTube if you want to look it up.

Anyway, Hell's Headbangers is reissuing (or has reissued) the OCTOBER 31 catalog in anticipation of the new album they're working on called "Bury The Hatchet".

So, on the reissue of "Meet Thy Maker", King included as a bonus track a LIVE song with ME on vocals from the Raleigh show!!! How cool is that?! I'm going to be on an OCTOBER 31 album all these years later!! The track is a live version of "The Chosen One" from the "Meet Thy Maker" album.

Here's the digital download version of the reissue...I'm on the last bonus track. The audio is taken from a video tape live recording so it is absolute BOOTLEG quality...but so cool to have my name & voice on an OCTOBER 31 CD! Puts a nice exclamation point on my time in the band!

Ugh! Already have ALL the October 31st stuff, some on CD and vinyl. Can't bring myself to buy it AGAIN!

Yeah, I was excited when I found out! King has threatened for years that he was going to put out the audio from that show as a bootleg...he still counts it as one of October 31's best ever shows. But this is just very, very cool...

I wish he would put out the whole show as a bootleg.

At one point a couple years ago, he was talking about releasing a rarities comp on his own label and this show was going to be on it. But it never happened...

I picked up both of these reissues over the weekend at a record show from King Fowley himself. Big dude. Haven't played them yet, but looking forward to adding them to my collection.

Very cool. I remember e-mailing King once and he told me about Bury the Hatchet, it must have been sometime in 2007 or 2008 (from the best of my memory, I could be wrong on the dating, it's been a while, I had totally forgotten).

Like Scott, I have all the albums, I don't know if I'll get the re-issues, but this is cool.

Prior to that purchase, I only owned No Survivors, so these re-issues were a no-brainer. And they were only $5 a piece.
