She is 64, not exactly in the risk group. But that's pretty rough. She has fever, and is told to stay home for ten days.
I haven't seen her since 1st March, when she was last over. Our twins turned two so it was a big party. Her cousin was here too and she also has the covid now.
I'm thinking, that's too far back though. Finland had zero cases back then. My mom's a daycare teacher so she must have caught it at work, after the party, like last week.
But, damn, that thing is spreading.
Somehow I missed this until now. Thoughts and prayers for your Mom and cousin and for your family.

She's had small ongoing fever for nearly a week now.
Doctor said to just stay home. This Friday is apparently the day when it will either get worse or start getting better.

Trying to get unemployment started for my wife but the state website keeps getting overloaded, even at 3AM. It's a royal pain in the ass because each time you log in you have about 20 screens to go thru before I get to the page I need and each one takes 2 or 3 minutes to load. When I get to the page to enter her old w2 info it takes me back to the main login page.
I kind of wish she would've stayed fulltime because if she did, she would be getting paid in all this mess. She was a high school teacher last month then decided she didn't like teaching (kids were rude and disrespectful) so she moved over to "support staff" which isn't salary or part time. She got one paycheck before schools were closed and now she is out of work.
If she had remained a teacher she would still be at home with the kids but giving out assignments online.

I think you missed the point of the meme I posted. (And for the record, I rarely use them)
The point is that Bill Gates doesn’t give a crap about saving lives. He wants to own the patent for control and money. The guy has gone on record that he wants depopulation. It’s a contradiction.
Also, I’m not against any proven vaccines for measles or polio etc...
But a vaccine for Covid will not be proven safe because it’s being rushed to production without enough time to evaluate the reactions. Maybe it will appear to work at first for most people, but in 5 or ten years it may cause terrible side effects or cancer. If you are one of the old or vulnerable, I’m sure most people will risk it for short term safety.
A lot of people already know that the regular flu vaccine is a joke. They give you last seasons virus that already mutated for the current season.

How do you know? We're still at least 18 months away from a vaccine. At least. It takes so long exactly because of the testing involved.
How can you know what the vaccine will be like? If we ever even get one.

No one knows anything right now...
But do you think 18 months is long enough for testing of a new vaccine?
I question everything.

I just got this shirt from a kaiju artist I follow, with the proceeds to go to medical workers, etc., to help fund supplies and such:
I'd order one of those shirts but I've never heard of that site before and I'm leery about handing out my CC# just anywhere.

My wife orders from them all the time, so far so good. Never had an issue with Teepublic. She usually waits for a good deal.

Yes, like Mike above said, my wife orders from them regularly with no issue. This is the first time I've ordered, though I do have some shirts she has purchased for me from the site (like a kickass Gigan from Final Wars shirt). I used PayPal also, which I always use for online ordering if it is an option.

Ha! Scored tp last night on Amazon. They had a 24 pack available for pre-order. Should be here right about the time we run out. Tried to order some for my mom a few minutes later and they were unavailable. Crazy times when I'm happy about fucking toilet paper lol

Did the same thing at Walmart.com. Ordered a pack and placed my order. My wife said order some more about 3 minutes later and it was out of stock. Luckily we have plenty as I also found some at Winn Dixie last weekend.
Not to mention, I usually do my business at work so I can use their toilet paper AND get paid for it!
I'm almost ashamed to say I have a full case of tp (96 rolls). My company offers them for office use and I get a case for myself as needed. Lucky for us, I happened to get a case right before this all went down. I haven't even used Any of it yet. We have been finishing up what we did have around here.
I'd go at work too, but our bathrooms are so nasty, I'd be afraid of catching something far worse than this stupid virus going around lol

I’ve been getting the huge bundle packs of Costco toilet paper for years. Luckily I got one before this fiasco happened. When that runs out, then I will join “the hunt”. Lol

Damn, we actually got our stimulus checks deposited in our account. I love free money, but scared about what it's going to cost us all in the long run.
Got TP at two locations today: Walmart and Market Street. It was nice to get a normal amount on a regular grocery run. Everything on my list was readily available.
My company furloughed me april 17th and told us it may be june or july before we open back up.. We get our last paycheck this Friday... Luckily my wife gets a huge retirement check every month and we have about 9 months worth of salary in savings...plus we are minimalist in our lifestyle... we have a cheap 1 bedroom apt. and our car is paid for so we are doing ok... we don't get out much anyway and order our food/supplies online so this is not really hurting us too much... A lot of people are getting restless though... we have had a lot of shootings and other crimes in our city these last few days

When this all started I asked my wife what MONK would do. Now we have our answer! It starts around 1:39.
