Covid-19 pandemic

Got the second dose of the Pfizer shot today and I can already tell it's going to have more negative effects than the first dose did. After the first one my arm didn't start aching until the middle of the night but this time it started aching about 2 hours after I got home. Fortunately I have TONS of vacation time so I already scheduled tomorrow off. If the ache is the only side effect I get from the second dose I'll be grateful because I've heard horror stories from other people after they got the second shot.

My cousin and her family all got that shot, and they all felt pretty good afterwards. They did have a sore arm and felt like they had a slight cold, or mini flu, but were all feeling normal after a couple days. Hope yours goes well. I'm getting one soon as I can find a place with an opening. I also plan on getting the Pfizer shot.

Australia was bringing in the Astrazeneca vaccine... that has been found to cause blood clots...

Those have been cancelled, and the Pfizer vaccine was ordered to replace. Problem is, there isn't nearly enough deep cold storage here for them... Travel for Australia has pretty much been cancelled for this year

My wife got the Johnson & Johnson shot a couple of weeks ago and got very sore with a lot of aches and pains including headaches. They have since subsided and she feels fine now. Fortunately, she hasn't had anymore adverse affects related to the currently on hold vaccine.

The side effects aren't too bad so far.  My arm is more sore than after the first one and my neck feels like its been in a vise and I'm tired because those two things kept waking me up during the night.  But if that's as bad as it gets then I'll take it.

EDIT: Well that wasn't bad at all. Arm is still a little sore but the neck pain went away by this afternoon. It seems the older you are the less serious your reactions to the second vaccine will be. Everything I've seen reported on the news seems to indicate that younger people and especially younger women are most at risk.

Many of my coworkers who have gotten the Pfizer one are down and out for a couple days. I am still going to wait.

I guess there are advantages to being an old fart.

Finally got an appointment for mine. Getting the Pfizer one in a week.

Good for you Wrecked. The first one is nothing except your arm feels like you did a ton of bicep curls the day before. Seems like the second one is where the side effects vary widely.

Still waiting for my Sputnik V shot.

They tell me

Ask more questions

For clarification...

Technician said, "there is a application variant between source and convalescent plasma" and "They (Red Cross) are not taking any plasma from those vaccinated due to risk of any mishandling of information regarding donations".

I got vaxxed yesterday. Yay me.

The county health dept. had a mobile site set up in the parking lot of a local church. I saw it as I was driving by on my way to the library, so I said "F**k it, let's get this over with," pulled in, got my shot, bada-bing. Done. That's finally off the to-do list.

So far, no signs of Bill Gates' nano-bots re-writing my DNA so I can access the 5G signals from the Illuminati hive-mind, or whatever...

Plus, they gave me a sweet Tweety Bird band-aid!

Lots of 'more lockdowns coming' talk. I think people will lose all sanity if this happens again (or continues as in Canada's case)

I think it's somewhat humorous that Japan was held up as a model for handling the pandemic last year on all of the Lefty MSM channel (they mocked Trump and conservative approaches) and now after well over a year of mask-wearing Japan is having a full-on freak out and struggling to pull off an Olympics they bid for and won in 2013!

Already sending "volunteers" door to door to check on vaccination status of U.S citizens. Seen the directive/instructional guidelines and the spreadsheets for documenting addresses, compliance, and follow ups.

I don’t think they are volunteers… I think they are being paid just like the provocateurs last summer.

I put volunteers in parenthesis as sarcasm to emphasize that same belief. If unvaccinated people are actually unsafe to be around, would the "virtuous" of our citizens willingly put themselves at risk? I seriously doubt that.
