| I watched the "I Heart Music Concert" tonight and frankly other than Billie Joe Armstrong, Dave Grohl, Tim McGraw and of course host Elton John I either had never heard of any of these artists are had heard of them but never heard any of their music.
I have so say, unless there was some studio "wizardry" involved I was pretty impressed by most of the performances on this program. But at the end, Elton John broke out some little electric piano (he'd previously said he didn't have a piano in his LA home where he's holed up). He played about 15 seconds of "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me" and I found myself thinking..."He should have just done that for the whole hour." Man, I love Elton John's music! _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Went to the office today. The entire center where our firm is located looked like a haunted place.
The security guard was so happy to see someone finally showing up.
The office looked sad and dark. I was there alone, worked for 2 hours and then left.

Not a fan of country but I did work in country radio back in the 90's when the station I worked for changed formats. Country singer Joe Diffie passed away yesterday from Coronavirus. he had a few good songs, I enjoyed Third Rock From The Sun. But I just can't stand country music anymore, I really burned out on it when I was having to play it everyday.

Totally. The weather has been back and forth. On the colder, rainy days, it feels like the worst think ever. On the nice sunny days, it doesn't feel so bad. Yesterday, we put together planters and my wife and kids planted a garden and we re-painted their playhouse, so we were all outside basically the whole day and it was nice.

The wife saw Elton last year. She said it was a very good show. We originally were going together as she bought the tickets nearly a year in advance. But, then, as the show approached, I found out Anthrax was playing for free the same night at a nearby casino. So, yeah...wifey phoned a coworker, and Sentinel saw the 'Thrax throw down.

The office looked sad and dark. I was there alone, worked for 2 hours and then left. I said to Cristina (the wife) that I am happy to have a job to go to at all. It's not about money at this point, but rather, staving off insanity. It really is great to be with my family ( we have music playing, the television is on, and we are doing fun activities) and I am a "homebody" to some degree; but I like to get out and simply take a ride to a store or run a quick errand. I live in the smallest state in my country where everything is within arms reach; so it's a bit frustrating when you have free time and there is nowhere to go.

One of the reasons why i am still going to the office is to avoid becoming insane. Right now, i can work remotely from my laptop, almost exclusively. But this trip in the car, with metal blasting from my speakers, twice a week, is a breath of fresh air. Makes me feel normal again, even for a couple of hours.

It has finally stopped raining here (last night was a full on thunder and lightning storm) so the family is gonna head out and do some stuff. I will head to my parent's house to use my gym in their basement and the wife is heading to her parent's house to pick up a dinner her mom made for us. Then we will join up and go somewhere.

27 cases in my town as of last night. I feel as though it will ebb soon. I think the measures taken will eventually work and by Easter (a couple weeks or so from now) the number of new cases will start to regress.

| My company's Powers That Be just sent out an email to all employees about the impact this situation has been having on our business. Unsurprisingly, it's kicking our ass, so they're going to start implementing cost-cutting measures that may include employee furloughs and/or (hopefully temporary) lay offs. So yeah, my Monday morning is off to a great start. Honestly I was expecting this sooner or later. As some of you know I'm in the print media/news industry, which was struggling way before this virus pandemic started, and I've been hearing/reading about other publishers in the industry who've already taken some pre-emptive steps. I just read last week that due to virus-related effects on their distribution/production/etc., Playboy magazine has suspended all of their print editions through the end of 2020 and in fact, may not come back in print form at all outside of occasional "special editions." The Aquarian Weekly, a local music/entertainment weekly here in New Jersey, announced that they're doing the same till the pandemic blows over. The comic book industry's biggest distributor, Diamond, has suspended all shipments of new comics to stores for the time being, which is going to f*** up publishers' schedules for months and will likely drive some of the few remaining comic book shops out of business. This sucks. All I can do is grit my teeth, keep on keepin' on, and hope that if and when this affects my job, that it doesn't last long. | This virus has disrupted the entire economy! I’ve been furloughed for over a week now. And I haven’t heard a peep about the unemployment application I sent several days ago... I’m guessing it’s because they’re flooded with cases! I’m hoping things will turn around soon or I might have to think about finding something else to do. This really does suck! | |

All I can do is grit my teeth, keep on keepin' on, and hope that if and when this affects my job, that it doesn't last long. (sigh) We got a similar email today. There was a big meeting at 9:30 this morning and we "furloughed" about 150 IT employees. The rest of us who are still working had to take a pay cut. I guess I'm "lucky" to be in that second category because the email said our business is down about 80% over the same time last year. As Sentinel said, at this point it's not really about money; if I wasn't working I'd go crazy sitting at home all day. This really DOES suck! _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| I am sorry to hear that guys. I will say a prayer for each of you that things get better soon. My wife's hospital has started doing voluntary layoffs and she has been hinting to me that she wants to do this as some of their patients they have recently administered OT to have tested positive as well as 2 other therapists and the AA from her team. She will get TDI and we have a pretty good savings as well as the stimulus checks and tax returns coming in in the next month or so. I don't know, there's a lot going through my mind. She seems to be asking my "opinion" of it to give her some sort of absolution as I know she feels guilty for taking a voluntary LOA while others are still there. And I know she feels guilt since I have had only had 2 sick days in the last decade of work; not trying to sound like some working class hero, but it's just the way I was raised. I am still out there working and could be infected at any given time since it takes 8 to 10 days or so for the symptoms to manifest so you don't know who has it and who doesn't. We are all rolling the dice, even with "essential travel" for groceries or meds. We haven't argued about it and I am not planning on it becoming one. I told her to do whatever makes her feel safe and creates peace of mind for her. Obviously, I don't want her ill or bringing it home to our daughter, but I wonder if she will get a bit stir crazy being home all day and taking care of our daughter. This whole thing just sucks ass. So, ...time will tell I guess. Rant over, Sorry to burden you guys with all that. Back to Metal! | |

| Don't worry about the rant my friend, we're all impacted by this in some form. My brother is in a similar position as your wife. He's a therapist at a PA hospital and deals with sex offenders so obviously he's in a high-risk position too. And my mother is 86, is diabetic and lives by herself in Florida and can't drive so she has her groceries delivered. Who knows if the delivery people are properly sanitizing.
As I said, NO ONE is skating through this; it literally impacts everyone one way or another. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Well I'm a truck driver, and even my job is getting sketchy. I'm still working, but it's all I can do to get a full 8 hours. I'm usually getting at least 10 hours, and always room for more if I want it. They made all the extra board drivers stay home today for the first time since this started. They also cut the dock workers down. So I'm happy to be working for sure, but I feel it's only matter of time before I'm out of work myself.
Only saving grace I have is I'm sure if things get bad, I can probably get on with someone somewhere going over the road. I'm sure truck drivers are being over worked right now, so I might be able to find something to get me by until my job gets back to normal. Or I might just take the time off and heal all my aches and pains this job gives me.
