The Corona beer company is probably thrilled with the name they chose.

They didn't really choose it. Corona relates to the shape of the virus (resembling a crown)
There are lots of different coronavirus' but this one is new.

I think he meant the brewers of Corona beer wish they had chosen a different name for their beer. Like maybe Small Pox Lager since that disease has been eradicated.

Yes! I get it now, Small Pox Lager WOULD be a better name!

There probably will be a new thrash metal band by that name soon enough.

From the "Dammit, why didn't I think of this first?" department:
Some genius out there is already selling "Coronavirus World Tour 2020" tee shirts, complete with death metal style logo.

Looks like they may need to add a New Jersey date to those "Coronavirus World Tour" t-shirts.
Late yesterday at work they sent out an email informing us that someone who works in our building has a family member who is "suffering from flu-like symptoms," and we were told to pack up, go home, and work via remote login until further notice. I guess they're gonna disinfect our entire building in the interim. No kiddin'. I'm like "Damn, shit just got REAL." Haha

it sure did. New York is deploying the National Guard to create "containment zones". It's like "The Crazies"

It's turning into an outbreak here. Schools have been closed for over a week now. Work and public administrations have been significantly affected as well. And it seems to drag.
It is only the beginning. I hope it doesn't last long.

I work for the mainstream media and even *I* think it's ridiculous.
Side note: why is everybody hoarding toilet paper? Soap/hand sanitizer, I understand. TP, not so much. Are we supposed to build little forts out of it or something?
Fortunately we bought TP last week, before the shit hit the fan (pun intended) so we already have an adequate supply... I wouldn't want to be out looking for it now
