Pre-ordered the new Pink Floyd Delicate Sound of Thunder box set being released in November. Not sure what's in it exactly, DVD, blu-ray, and CD with book blah blah blah. Guess there are some extra tracks, not really sure. All I know is I'm glad I'll be able to watch it again. Haven't had a working copy since I owned it on VHS tape.

I like that Skold album. It's where he took the industrial sound he forced on Shotgun Messiah to the next level. I think the Skold album sounds a lot like the "Violent New Breed" album. I think it was after this album he decided to join Marilyn Manson and then KMFDM.

Took my son to the local book/music/game emporium today cuz he wanted to sell some of his old video games. He got $20 cash, and I made a couple of unusual finds:
Judas Priest - Screaming For Vengeance/Turbo (Russian "2-on-1") Judas Priest - British Steel/Painkiller (Russian "2-on-1") Led Zeppelin - IV (Russian press on "SomeWax Recordings" label) Great White - Extended Versions
Not sure how these grey market Russian discs wound up in a rinky dink used-media store in New Jersey, but for three bucks a throw I am not complaining. I have never come across any of those 2-albums-on-1 comps "in the wild" before. Even though I already own all 4 of those Priest albums, I had to grab'em anyway cuz I can't resist weird shit.

If I ever get back to Tennessee I'm going to checkout two places: Obie's Pizza (STILL the best pizza I've ever had) and Great Escape (where I scored a TON of great used CDs when I lived there). Both are in downtown Nashville and I know Obie's still exists because they have a web site. Not sure if Great Escape still exists or what it looks like now all these years later after the digital age. But that place used to be like walking into the biggest CD flea market you've ever seen, with a TON of CD listening posts so you could just grab anything that looked remotely interesting and sample it until your curiosity was satisfied.
I used to drive 3 hours to Nashville after I moved to Jackson, TN, make a day of it and come back with about 10-20 CDs and some leftover pizza to freeze. Good times...
