So. Lizzie Grey bit it almost a week ago and no one has said dick about it?  I know he may not have been very well liked around the metal water cooler.  But, I DO believe he had a very important place in the history in a lot of you guys fav genre of music.

But, whatever.  R.I.P. Lizzie Grey - Ya lived life hard and fast and I totally respect the fuck outta you for that.

I knew he was important to the local scene in L.A. before that scene exploded. I do remember his band London at one time had Nikki Sixx and Blackie Lawless in their line up before they moved on to their more successful career.

I remember London released one album around 1986 or so, on an indie label and they appeared in the Decline of Western Civilization Part II.

I know he was important to the development of the L.A. pop metal scene in the 80's but he certainly never reaped the finical awards or reorganization.

Ya got me curious. Never heard of him but I've heard London's music. How was he pivotal to the scene?

He was pretty much there from the very beginning. Helped to build the Sunset Strip culture that ended up cranking out a ton of cool music. And he stuck true to it for decades after the scene fizzled. A complete diehard for his "cause", so to speak.

London was one of those bands I always heard much about, but never actually heard much of, aside from their appearance in "Decline II."
