I may need to check that Chucky "re-imagining" out.
I gained a whole new respect for Mark Hamill after his role in "Sushi Girl"; he really broke the Star Wars stereotype for me with that flick.

Mark's voice work as Chucky was pretty cool, slowly going from "pure and innocent" to "homicidal lunatic" over the course of the movie.

Check out Sushi Girl if you haven't seen it already. When you compare his acting in that to his Star Wars role to how you describe his Chucky voice work it's clear the man has talent.

The Simpsons "Thanksgiving Of Horror"
The first episode was great.
EDIT: That whole episode was great. That's the most creativity I've seen in a Simpsons episode in years.

Sushi Girl was fun! Mark Hamill's character was creepy and sadistic. His voice acting for The Joker in the Batman animated shows and video games is also superb.

Mothra vs Godzilla
This movie represents the transitional movie from Godzilla the villain to Godzilla the champion of the Earth. He's still a baddie in this flick but most of his destruction is inadvertent; he pulls down a tower when his tail gets stuck in it, he smashes a pagoda when he accidentally falls into it, etc. This is also the most "rubbery" I've seen the Godzilla suit(s) to this point. This is obviously not the same suit as the first several flicks because the Big G is slimmer here and his eyes are more toward the front of his face. But his upper lip quivers every time he takes a step; it looks like he's made of Jello. It's a shame because given the year this movie was made (1964) the overall FX are outstanding.

^^^^ Fun fact about the jowly Godzilla suit. I had read when he fell into that pagoda, the head smacked into it, knocking the "lips" loose and the production crew just went without. I always liked it, giving Big H a more realistic look.

From Dusk Till Dawn
I remember really digging this flick but watching it again it just seemed very disjointed. It plays out like what it is: a collaboration between Quentin Tarrentino and Robert Rodriguez. The first half is all Tarrentino and the second half is all Rodriguez and the only thing tying the two halves together are the main characters which I totally didn't buy this time around. In the first half, the Gecco brothers (Tarrentino and George Clooney) are completely disgusting, ruthless scumbags who abduct Harvey Keitel and his family. Then all of a sudden in the second half, Clooney becomes a hero and forms an alliance with Keitel to fight the vampires.
I liked a lot of the FX and many of the vampire sequences are pretty cool, practical FX (thanks to KNB FX) but I just wasn't into it overall. And now I'm not sure about the ending; what's with that panning away from the "Titty Twister" bar and showing what looks like an ancient Aztec or Incan temple from the back? Is that implying that there are more vampires in the lower levels that are hidden from the front? Whatever; we didn't need a sequel and thankfully as far as I know we didn't get one.
Using our pal Leatherface's scale I give this one 2 out of 5 chainsaws this time around (compared to probably 4 out of 5 the first time I saw it).

Tamara(2005)-a geeky high school student dies when a cruel prank played on her by some of her classmates backfires. After burying her, she returns from the grave thanks to some witchcraft she has been practicing, and is now looking for revenge as she now has the power to control people just by touching them. It's now up to one of her only friends to try to find a way to stop her. This obvious Carrie inspired movie contains just enough violence and hot chicks to make it mildly entertaining. I give it 2 out 5.

Killer Rats (2003)
An undercover reporter discovers that a rehab institute that she is investigating is infested with vicious rats in this lackluster thriller. Not worth your time.

^^ Never seen that one, but if you wanna see a "so bad it's good" killer-rat movie, seek out Bruno Mattei's Rats: Night of Terror.

I haven't seen this one in a long time but if I watched it now, I wouldn't be surprised if I agreed with your assessment about it not aging well. I do have some fun memories attached to this one though (and no, they don't all have to do with Salma Hayek's snake dance, haha)...
The first time I saw this movie with my girlfriend (now my wife) during its theatrical run, she knew nothing about the film going in. For the first half-hour or so it plays like yet another Natural Born Killers or Pulp Fiction style crime/caper flick, which was not her thing at all, and I could see she was getting bored...
...till they got to the "Titty Twister" and the first stripper vamped out and tore somebody's head off...she literally jumped in her seat like "WHOA!" Haha. As the carnage increased in intensity (and silliness) she eventually leaned over to me and sez "What the f**k kind of movie IS this?"
...anyway, I kinda like that last shot; I always thought it was meant to indicate that this "titty bar" has been there for a looooong time, kidnapping unlucky travelers off that road for generations (note all the piles of junked vehicles that have been pushed over the cliff)...
There are two (direct to video) "From Dusk Til Dawn" sequels by the way... but if memory serves I've only ever seen "2" and it sucked, so I never bothered with the third.

Speaking of Natural Born Killers, I started that one today. Seeing Juliette Lewis in FDTD made me want to see this one again. The weird thing is that she's actually older in FDTD than she was in NBK. After this I think I'll watch her in Kalifornia then start my Christmas horror binge.

It reminds me of The Wall; it's got that same trippy feel and it intersplices animation, flashbacks, etc.

Kalifornia was a great flick, need to watch that one again soon. Just saw her in something recent, but can't think of what it was. She still looks good though, always had a woody for her

"Dr. No" (1962)
James Bond travels to Jamaica and meets a crazed scientist with plans to sabotage the U.S. space program. 007's big screen debut is a pretty straightforward, cloak-and-dagger spy flick that lacks the elaborate bells and whistles of later installments, but it's still a fun watch cuz Sean Connery is '60s cool personified and there's plenty of action and (of course) female eye candy. The legend starts here!

I loved the "Apocalypto" parody with all the Simpsons characters as turkeys.
...esp. the bit where the pilgrims start hackin' off the heads of all of Turkey Homer's friends (Lenny, Carl, etc.) and each time he's like "Oh no!" ...until they kill the ones that look like Patty and Selma and he goes "Woohoo-gobble gobble!"
