Quarantine 2: Terminal(2011)-a plane is forced to land when the virus from the first movie starts to spread through the plane, infecting some of the passengers. The surviving crew and passengers find themselves trapped in the airport as the virus continues to infect people, turning them into crazed killers. I didn't know what to expect from this film, but it turned out to be pretty well made and was better than I expected. I give it 2.5 out of 5.

"The Spy Who Dumped Me" (2018)
Mila Kunis is an L.A. slacker chick who discovers that her late ex-boyfriend was a spy, which soon makes her the target of some very bad people. When she and her wacky best bud (SNL's Kate McKinnon) head to Europe to complete his final mission, mayhem follows wherever they go. This spy spoof was lots of fun -- the two leading ladies make a great team (Mila's hot, Kate is hilarious) and it doesn't skimp on the ultra-violent action either. Worth checking out.

I'm still watching the Star Trek: Enterprise series.
I just started Season 2. It's definitely grown on me. Like the other ST spinoffs, this series has its share of recurring aliens/foes and I'm really digging some of the backstory of the "future" ST series this one is laying down. Like the Vulcan "mind meld" and the whole United Federation of Planets which doesn't exist in this series' universe.

Same here. I know I'm in the minority here, but man was I less than impressed. The overpraise on the internet is baffling me.

Hey Toho, you seen the latest Picard trailer? I was kind of shocked by the appearance of a certain recurring character. And I don't mean Data.

^^^^ I had no idea that was even "a thing". I watched the trailer on YouTube; other than Data I didn't see anyone I recognized. To whom are you referring?

I don't know man. I thought it was rather good and look forward to the 4th (and final?) season.

I have a thousand problems with S3 but the main issue is the script. The dialogue has lost all its charm and is watered down to simplified boilerplate. Felt forced and didn't amp up the character moments the way the previous seasons did. Jokes didn't have punchlines. Banter reduced to constant bickering. Humor = screaming at people a lot, like addressing the sexual tension between Hopper and Joyce (that rambling was simply nails on a chalkboard and there were way more important things to address). Easy and obvious pop culture digs arbitrarily thrown about. Hopper and Joyce's generic "raising a teenager" exchange that sounds like it came from any other movie or show about raising a teenager. It was all like New Coke. Flat New Coke.
And Homer Simpson Hopper, and a hyper-caricaturized Cary Elwes, and stretching out one episode's worth of story across a whopping five out of eight (the whole season could have easily been condensed down to a 90-minute movie), and awkward interruptions (i.e. Neverending Story), and dime-store Terminator, and I'm still having a hard time believing that four kids could bust into a top-secret military base and kick the asses of highly-trained Russian soldiers AND survive numerous beatings that should have rendered one absolutely dead--arg, I promised myself I wouldn't start.
In summary: -S1: B+ -S2: A- -S3: C+

"Aquaman" (2018)
DC's king of the seas made a big splash (yeah, yeah, I know... I couldn't resist) in his action packed debut solo adventure, where he claims his Atlantean birthright and stops a war between the undersea kingdom and the surface world. The near-constant CGI gets a little tiresome after a while (by the time the climactic underwater battles start, you may feel like you're watching a cartoon) but the story is well constructed and the set designs are quite amazing. Jason Momoa plays the title character with just a hint of a smirk, as if he knows how ridiculous this whole thing is, but he's clearly having a blast, and so did I. Two fins up.

"Ralph Breaks the Internet" (2018)
The long awaited sequel to "Wreck-It Ralph" sends the '80s video game character into the world wide web, on a quest to find a spare part for his buddy Vanellope's broken game before their arcade home turns it off for good. Cartoon mayhem follows as old-school Ralph clashes with "new" tech like viral videos, pop-up ads, and eBay, while Vanellope thinks she may have finally found a "home" in an ultra violent "Grand Theft Auto" style race game. A fast paced, very funny family flick, my video game crazed son and I both laughed a lot.

Started the second season of Star Trek: Enterprise. In the second episode we're introduced to the Romulans although they haven't actually been seen yet. In ToS the Romulans looked like Vulcans and Spock commented that he thought they were a Vulcan offshoot so I'm curious to see how this "prequel" series handles that.
That's the fascinating part of this series for me; how they try to establish some backstory to stuff we already know from other Star Trek franchises which happened after this series in the ST timeline.

The Hitcher(2007)-a young couple out on spring break, give a ride to a man who, you guessed it, turns out to be a psychopath. After managing to get away, the couple realizes the man is following them, racking up more victims as he moves along. The two soon become framed for the murders and now they have to deal not only with the killer, but the police as well. Remake of the 80's cult film of the same name. As far as recent remakes go, I actually didn't think this one was too bad as there was a good mix of tension and bloody mayhem. I give it 2.5 out of 5.

I love the original (RIP Rutger Hauer). I never even bothered with this remake because I figured it would be a total waste of time. And it sounds like I was right because that description sounds exactly like the original ergo what's the point?

Hillbilly cousins Bo (Seann William Scott) and Luke (Johnny Knoxville) have to save their family farm from foreclosure by the villainous Boss Hogg (Burt Reynolds) by winning a fixed road race. Along the way, lots of police cars crash and stuff blows up frequently. This update of the late 70s TV series is slightly raunchier than its source material but it's the same dumb, car crashin' fun you'd expect. Bonus points for the inspired stunt casting of Reynolds and Willie Nelson (as Uncle Jesse), and for capturing Jessica Simpson at her peak of hotness as cousin Daisy.

Yeah, it's nearly a shot-for-shot remake of the original. The only thing new is they give the girl the C Thomas Howell role and make her the badass hero. Other than that it's pretty much the same. At least it's better than The Hitcher 2!
