Former members of QUIET RIOT and ROUGH CUTT have joined forces in a "supergroup" called ROUGH RIOT. The new band consists of lead vocalist Paul Shortino (ROUGH CUTT, QUIET RIOT), guitarists Chris Hager (MICKEY RATT, ROUGH CUTT, STEPHEN PEARCY) and Carlos Cavazo (QUIET RIOT, RATT), bassist Sean McNabb (QUIET RIOT, LYNCH MOB, DOKKEN, ROUGH CUTT) and drummer Dave Alford (ROUGH CUTT).

Hager revealed the new project's existence on his Facebook page, writing: "For too many reasons to list, a few of [us] old friends and bandmates have decided to unite and form something unique for you (and us)! Our aim is to bring you the very best of two worlds!! So if you’re a fan of the music of one or both the bands, QUIET RIOT or ROUGH CUTT, you win!"

It's funny to me how Frontier Records has become such a punchline.

This combining of bands is a new paradigm. We'll see more of this in the future I'm sure.

I am all over this. Almost flew to Vegas last month on the chance that they would never play together again. But, it looks to be a more lasting deal!!! And that KICKS ASS!

I wish Shortino didn't jump around so much - kinda taints his status somewhat.
Glad David Coverdalle never did that....except briefly with Jimmy Page.
Who'd turn down a gig - to play with Page - lol
Saw Rough Cutt play a bunch of times in the 80's. Exciting.
Never got into QR - except for the first release.
They weren't that good. All there follow ups were duds.

They're pretty much the only game in town as far as '80s hard rock/melodic rock specialty labels go. They've cornered the market.

I saw this the other day. I already knew about the "teaming up" of the 2 bands and I was excited. I hope there is a new album as I love Shortino's vox. I am a big fan of RC, QR, and KK. So, yeah...I am in.
