Rough Cutt

Anyone a fan of this band? Honestly, for me they are remembered as Duke Famous' band (WANKER!). However, I remember listening to the band's debut quite bit back in the day. Shortino has a great, gravely voice that reminds me a bit of David Coverdale.

One of my favorites from the 80's. Both albums are masterpieces, IMO. Great melodic metal!

I saw them live opening for Dio back in the 80's, I remember liking their albums but it has been decades since I last heard their two releases.

Great band, and Shortino is a superb vocalist!

Great band....Wonded Bird Records did a reissue of their albums....both on one cd, a few years ago....

Amir Derakh is a great guitarist...he has most recently been in ORGY and producing (COAL CHAMBER, "thebandthatshallneverbementionedagain", ORGY....)

Actually, he's most recently known as the guitarist in Dead By Sunrise with that Linkin Park dude...

My knowledge ended with ORGY....guess I should have worded more appropriately.

If it's attached to LINKIN PARK in anyway...I can tell you, I will not check it out. I HATE that band and all their ilk.

I have a buddy who is a huge fan and he gave me a cdr of one of their albums that I have misplaced. I vaugly remember listening to it in my car the night he gave it to me and haven't seen it since.

I liked Rough Cutt but didn't like any of the bands that Derakh was in afterwords.

Been a Shortino fanboy my entire life and have followed his every move. Along with Coverdale and Wayne, my three fav vocalists. Along with his solo stuff, he has been in Badd Boyz and Mulholland Drive, has collaberated alot with JK Northrup, and has done a bit of producing with bands like Jet Blakk. Three of the other guys in Rough Cutt formed Jailhouse in the early 90's and released some really rockin' material, as well.

I saw Rough Cutt on a Dio tour and liked them better at the two showcase gigs I saw them do before that opener slot came up.

Never have heard this band.

As for Amir Derakh, his latest band - Dead By Sunrise RULES! Their debut album was my pick of the year for 2009. Fantastic alternative rock (just because it's not metal doesn't mean it's not good. Open your mind).

Recently bought Anthology. Double cd set.
One CD is a 1985 concert. Crowd was insane.
Tunes were mostly from their s/t.
Other CD - pre-recordings of their s/t before signing to Warner.
Very happy about this purchase for sure.

I recently purchased Rough Cutt's second album 'Double Trouble' it was a Rock Candy reissue, it was OK but I do not feel it has aged particularly well.
