That does sound a lot like Dio but if I were Mike Oldfield I'd sue.  How is that keyboard riff in "Under the Wire" not a ripoff of "Tubular Bells" (aka "The Exorcist" theme)?

Dream Child, the band highlighted by former Dio, AC/DC and MSG stars have released their very first music video, which comes ahead of their debut album.

The band features Craig Goldy: Guitars (ex-Dio, Giuffria), Simon Wright: Drums (ex-AC/DC, Dio, Operation: Mindcrime), Rudy Sarzo: Bass (ex-Quiet Riot, Ozzy, Whitesnake, Dio), Wayne Findlay: Guitars and Keyboards (ex- MSG) and Diego Valdez: Vocals (Helker).

It's not a bad tune at all, but I just know it will be another album I spend $15 on and after ripping it to my computer on the shelf it goes. So, I appreciate the link, but I am passing. I promised myself at the end of last year I was going to stop buying things I was only going to spin once. So far so good. haha.

Same. I saw "Last In Line" on Amazon Prime and was a free listen so I played it a couple of times and it was good but haven't played it since I downloaded it. This will be the same as will the new Impellitteri. Will be good but only played a time or two. best to save the $.

And the new Impellitteri will definitely be getting plenty of spins in my house. $15 seems like money well spent. Can't even play nine holes of golf with that.

Yeah, there's a lot of product out there. Last In Line is ok but it actually doesn't really remind me of Dio. Are Dio Disciples the ones using the hologram?

Guy from Helker who sounds similar at times to Dio but this song has a Rainbow/Whitesnake sound imo.

The song seems a little stock. I don't think Blackmore or Coverdale would approve of that.

Tune's okay. I also don't hear a Dio resemblance in the vox either. He does have a familiar voice, but I can't seem to place who he reminds me of. Johnny Edwards? Maybe?

Ok, I got it - Oni Logan. That's who he reminds me of. Not saying a carbon copy, just reminds me of Oni.

This album is worth picking up in you like Dio and Rainbow.

Clean out your ears, he gets compared to Dio all the time.

Yeah I mean, I don't know what's worse, doing a Dio hologram, of using a singer that sounds just like him in your new band. It sucks, because I like the music, but can't see me buying it because the singer sounds too much like Dio.

I've never understood this mentality. It doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Good songs are good songs, but because the singer sounds like someone else (and only sometimes), that's somehow a negative?
