| I have the Mind's Eye CD. Bought it on vinyl when it first hit the stores. Listened to MELTDOWN. Very good. Have to buy it. He's a damn good shredder. Malmsteen is much darker and calculated. Neo-classical. Vinnie Moore - seems happier - and experimental. Any thoughts to share Title Album details Peak chart positions Sales US [8] Mind's Eye Released: 1986 Label: Shrapnel Records – US: 6,719+[10] Time Odyssey Released: 1988 Label: Shrapnel Records

Saw him live with UFO several years ago.

| I like his solo material.. But I wish UFO went in a different direction when looking for a new lead guitar player. I really liked the the 1st cd "You are Here" But not much after.
I was hoping John Norum would get the job.. Or somebody like that.

| Oh God, yes! I spin "Mind;s Eye" and "Time Odyssey" at least once a month. I don't play "Meltdown" or the few later albums and UFO stuff as much as those, but it's not for lack of enjoyment. | |

| His solo albums were always displayed at the local virgin megastore downtown. Of course when i decided to buy them, they were gone. Will probably order some of his work through Amazon. | |

| I picked up Time Odyssey a little while ago and I like it a lot. Looks like I need to check out Mind's Eye and Meltdown. | |

| Mind's Eye is probably the best neo-classical guitar metal album (or how is it called) ever. Even if you're not a fan of instrumentral music, this one is so good it doesn't need vocals, all "songs" are memorable. Perfect example of glorious late 80s metal. | |

wut Yngwie's debut set the standard for all the imitators to come later and none ever topped it. Not even Yngwie himself.

I might have to buy this CD. I remember a song " Ultimate Death " - by them. Still love the song - Didn't see it on the song titles....
It's interesting that Tony MacAlpine – was on the keyboards - for Mind's Eye CD (1986: Edge of Insanity1987: Maximum Security)
and Mike Varney – was the producer.
