I saw a yahoo story about ' Where is Vinnie Vincent ' (when KISS was being inducted) - ( Mark St. John, lead guitarist, was actually killed in prison ) and it was kinda interesting hearing all these things about him - I have always loved this youtube clip- hope you do too - all you artists out there - My friend bought a guitar that was confiscated from Vincent (to pay for studio time) - a Jackson V - said to have been played also by Randy himself - not sure about that - LOL

Say what now Didn't he die of a brain hemorrhage? Is the Illuminati involved here?

Here's the story. Still sounds a little sketchy to me...

Yeah that seems like a tabloid story at the store checkout line. Who knows ?

That's a trip, I never knew about his stint in jail or that his death was drug related.

Just to clear things up - he didn't die in prison - he died of a brain hemorrhage in April of 2007which was 8 months after he had been released from prison in September of 2006.

Here's the forum thread from when Mark St. John passed:
His obit (copied from Blabbermouth.net) made no mention of his prison experience. From the article posted above, it sounded like he was in for a fairly minor crime.

Back on topic. Here's the story Rolling Stone wrote... http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/the-long-kiss-goodbye-the-search-for-vinnie-vincent-20140408
"Where in the World Is Vinnie Vincent?"

And of course, being a Rolling Stones article, it has to have a snarky tone to it.

I found a podcast called Decibel Geek that interviewed some people that had met with Vinnie, including none other then Robert Fleishman, who had some interesting things to say about their time together.

This has to be Vinnie's blues based style ! Groove on ! Very little royalties for song writing credit - seemed to be a HUIGE issue - And it sounds like Gene and Paul - were trying to figure out who would be actually sing the song - Ace was decreasing in size in the photo...small boots - maybe a sign to the band at that point -

Reading that Rolling Stone article on Vinnie, you half wonder if he was that severely drugged up all those years or if he has some serious mental illness causing the paranoia and delusions.
When you make Ace and Peter at their worst look relatively sane, you know you've wandered a bit far off the reservation.

Found out that Vinnie actually did vocals as well for some of the songs that wound up on the Invasion albums, he was with some former New England members and the band was called Warrior, too bad that never took off, Vinnie's actually a really good singer and sold himself short in that department(Hirsch Gardner said as much in his interview):

New England opened for KISS in 1978-79 - was there - and this one song REMAINS the best song - that I have ever heard and encounter -in concert - I couldn't believe the power and etheral mood that was BLASTING through the stadium - " Gypsy in her Eyes " sounds like it could of been easily in a Rocky soundtrack ! Also...I do love a band called WARRIOR - their cd - " Fighting For The Earth " - that Warrior ? Vincent's character was titled : "The Ankh Warrior"

Nope, that Warrior was a completely different band;
Also I just realized that there's a part 5 special on Decibel Geek:

While I fully expect something will come up that will prevent him from making this appearance, it would be pretty interesting if it happens. The guy is such an enigma.

Vinnie is like those 17-year cicadas... he only reappears when conditions are juuuuuuuust right.
I met him at the NY/NJ Kiss Expo in 1995 or '96, shortly before he fell off the radar altogether. Even THEN I remember hearing rumors that the odds of Vinnie actually showing up for that Expo were about 50/50.
