| The vocals actually sound pretty good in that one Overkill song. _________________ ULTIMATUM - TOO METAL FOR WIKIPEDIA!

| In all fairness, I've never owned an album by them - nor heard anymore than just a few songs. The songs I heard were pretty bad though - so ... |

Yeah? I haven't heard the album, but I did see the video of him recording his vocals. He sounded terrible. Haha. |

This is that vocal-centric approach I talked about earlier. Sure, that's one problem but certainly not their only one. Not even their main one IMHO. It's the music and the songs themselves.

It's tough for me to agree with this, only because I find the vocals to be extremely important. If you change the vocal approach, it changes the song. They might very well still suck, but maybe not. Just look at Trivium for the perfect example. When Heafy screams it's almost unlistenable. When he sings aggressively, they're quite good. |

| I managed to suck it up and like the vocals, ashes of the wake has sentimental value to me even though i do not listent o metalcore. The song that randy did with overkill is awsome | |

Even when he "sings" it improves the music but it is still a bad song and still not worth listening to. Vocals are great but they ain't everything. Songs > vocals > performance > production

Well, I think Trivium is a pretty solid band now, at least on The Crusade. I also previously liked the music, but the vocals were hard to handle. So it's all opinion beyond that, you know? - Quote :

Songs > vocals > performance > production I agree. A good song is most important. I simply have a difficult time being able to say as a general statement that a song would still suck with a different style of vocals, when talking about music by a band like Lamb Of God. Although I do have little faith that Lamb Of God would have any interest to me if the dude did sing differently. |

| I like Lamb of God, I agree about the vocals after awhile they tend to get a little tiresome. But I do like them and give them a spin awhile. | |

| I've tried listening to these guys again. I don't own anything, but I hear them on sattellite radio. The vocals just kill it for me. The music's not bad though. For me, I think if they had a singer, not just a vocalist, I might get into them. As it stands now though, pass. _________________ I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's it seems weird and scary to me, and it'll happen to you, too.
