Inspired by the forgotten sleazy groups thread, what are some forgotten early 70's hard rock favorites. My first one is Bloodrock.

I’m really into obscure ‘70s music. For about 15 years that’s pretty much what I listened to but the last few years or so I’ve taken a break from it. That Bloodrock album is a classic indeed but I prefer Bloodrock-USA.
I think my favorite though is Captain Beyond’s first album. Second album is no slouch either. Guru Guru, Bang, Sweet Smoke, Alamo, Poobah, Granicus, Skid Row, Ultra, Colosseum, Message, Colosseum II... so many great bands.

Don't know how I never heard of these guys, but I just found this album a couple years ago while surfing YouTube.

Lucifer's Friend is a KILLER band. The debut and Banquet are definite must haves. John Lawton is an underrated singer. Dust is another good band and I have both releases. Cool thing about them is Marky Ramone was the drummer.

BIG fan of John Lawton , Still sounds great today. I had that on lp back in the day.
Dust had a pretty good rhythm section Kenny Aaronson - bass & Marc Bell - drums. I never heard them though.

Pretty sure these guys are well known around the metal community, but if you ask a hundred people I'm sure only a handful would say they have heard of them. But I love this album, so I'll post it anyways!

"UNCLE SAXON'S KICKASS CDS"]Maybe not so "forgotten", but still cool.
Jim McCarty was a bad ass guitar player in the day!
Another cool track from the LP.

Highway Star, another one I mention once in a while that's worth buying is Ultra-S/T from 1975. It's Southern Rock; think early ZZ Top with dual guitar like Thin Lizzy and Wishbone Ash.

All great bands, Boris. Toad is especially good. I really like their second album; Tomorrow Blue.
