Zombi 3(1988)-on a remote island scientist are working on a top secret experiment called Death One, a serum that can bring the dead back to life. When the serum is stolen, it's accidently released causing anyone infected to turn into zombies. A small group of soldiers and tourists try to find a way off the island while trying to avoid being killed or becoming zombies themselves. This is far from being the best zombie movie I've seen as the movie kind of drags a little in places and some cheesy gore as well. It's sort of a mess, but kind of a fun mess too. Lucio Fulci, who directed part of the film before his failing health forced him to turn the movie over to director Bruno Mattie (a name not usually renown for quality movies) to finish the film. I give it 2 out of 5 chainsaws. Also I should add that this was the film that introduce the world to zombie pigeons! Don't ask.

"Teen Titans: The Judas Contract" (2017)
As DC's teen heroes plunge into battle against Deathstroke and crazed religious cult leader Brother Blood, they learn that they have a traitor within their own ranks. This animated adaptation of the classic Marv Wolfman/George Perez epic (one of the best comic books of the '80s IMO) has been updated from its '80s origins to fit current DC continuity, so some of the faces and characters have changed from the story I remember, but it's still a fun, action packed 'toon with plenty of the usual animated ultra-violence and cool voice casting (incl. the late Miguel Ferrer making his final film appearance voicing Deathstroke, and Christina Ricci as Raven!).
"Amityville II: The Possession" (1982)
Another ill-fated family moves into the infamous house on Ocean Avenue and soon their teenage son is hearing demonic voices that inspire him to put the moves on his own sister (yuck!) and eventually commit all-family homicide. This sequel is actually a prequel as it's loosely based (with plenty of Hollywood embellishments) on the real-life murders of the DeFeo family -- who occupied the Ocean Ave. house prior to the Lutzes. As an added bonus, the movie turns into a pretty decent ripoff of "The Exorcist" in the last 20 minutes, as the family's priest struggles to save the boy's soul before he gets sent to the electric chair. "Amityville II" is nastier, more mean-spirited and way sleazier than the original film, and as a result it's the best movie of the whole damn franchise!

Over the last few days :
The New York Ripper (1982)
Lucio Fulci's foray into the giallo/slasher film genre, this one deals with a homicidal maniac with a vendetta against promiscuous women, taunting the cops all the while (and quacking like a duck during his phone calls and attacks - and I'm not joking there). This is a rather sleazy affair, with plenty of gore (in all it's unnatural bright red glory) and nudity. Somewhat ludicrous but still entertaining. And what's a Fulci film without damage to a victim's eye? Seriously, why did that guy include that in every film he had a hand in (at least the one's I've seen)?
Prey For The Beast (2007)
A group of guys head out to the wilderness for a weekend getaway and encounter a group of female hikers out to do the same. Unfortunately for them, the wilderness is the hunting grounds of a creature with an insatiable desire for human flesh. Man this was awful. A micro budgeted movie with horrible acting, poor cinematography, a bad script and a monster that looks like a reject from the Power Rangers. Avoid.
Death Machine (1994)
In the "near future" of 2003, an evil corporation (are there any other kind in movies?) is bent on creating the ultimate weapon, a cyborg type killing machine. However , the program is flawed and the cyborg malfunctions, goes wild and kills innocent people. As the program is exposed the new Chief Executive decides to check in on the designer, a mentally unstable man (Brad Dourif, who excels at these parts) and finding him an unhinged danger, fires him. Big mistake as he traps her, another executive (William Hootkins - Porkins from Star Wars), and 3 eco-warriors insdie the building with multi razor blade wielding, bear trap jawed killing robot dubbed the Warbeast. The usual chaos ensues. Not a bad movie and you gotta like a movie that names characters John Carpenter, Sam Raimi, Weyland and Yutani.
^^ Oh damn, "New York Ripper" is such a filthy, nasty, grimy little movie. I felt like I needed a shower after I watched that one, haha. I especially liked the first murder scene on the Staten Island Ferry, cuz I went to college in Staten Island so I took that boat ride literally hundreds of times.
Anyway, last night I watched two classic "Twilight Zone" episodes - "Escape Clause" and "The Lonely" (starring Jack Warden and a young Ted Knight!) on Hulu.

James McEvoy gives a phenomenal performance. After seeing her in The Witch, I knew Anya Taylor-Joy was going to start getting cast in more, and bigger, movies. Really well acted and smartly paced, in my opinion. I really like how it links to Unbreakable, and that it dovetails into the upcoming Glass.

Dagon(2001)-Based on Lovecraft's The Shadow over Innsmouth , two couples are vacationing on a boat when a violent storm smashes them into a rock. One of the couples make it to a near by village tying to get help. Once there, they discover the villagers are strange half-human/half-fish creatures that plan to sacrifice them to their god Dagon. I've been wanting to see this movie for years and just recently got the chance to check it out. The movie for me was kind of a mixed bag as the special effects ranged from pretty good old school make-up effects to some pretty hokey CGI effects as well as a somewhat week script. I guess I thought the movie was going to be more "epic" than it was. I give it 2 out of 5 chainsaws.

I really enjoy that flick. I love the atmosphere with all the "wet". I also enjoy all the different freakish inhabitants of the town. And there's the face-peeling scene...

As a horror movie fan all you really need to know is that "Dagon" is a Stuart Gordon/Brian Yuzna flick; that should tell you all you need to know.
But you still need to see "Audition" first.
