Great pickup! My wife got me that one for my birthday this year (and volume two for Father's Day) and I really enjoy both.

Are you like me, someone who always hated them back in the day? Man, that album is a classic now in my mind even though I absolutely loathed it when it came out.

According to Amazon (which is where I got mine), Volume 1 was out Sept. of 2017 and Vol. 2 in January of this year. I like the second a bit more for the variety and overall sound quality. But vol. 1 is a great piece of rock/ metal history.

No, I have never owned a copy until now. I was never a fan until later.

Yep. Same here. Another one of those 70s/80s bands I didn't appreciate until later. See also Supertramp, Jackson Browne, Bruce Springsteen and about a dozen other artists.

That's my least favorite Kix album. Although it does contain "911" which is one of my favorite Kix tracks.

Yeah, it's a bit "samey" in both sound and song titles. I give them credit for sticking to their sound during the alt/ grunge era of the mid 90's, but I think they were running out of ideas a bit a decade and a half into their careers. I ordered the "Can't Stop the Show" CD/DVD on Wednesday night. I only need the "Cool Kids" album and the "Live In Baltimore" disc and I am complete. I may get a few singles in the future if the price is right.

I agree. That's why I was so surprised at Rock Your Face Off; they seem so energized on that album compared to Show Business and all the Funny Money stuff that followed.

A few weeks back, my boss let me borrow a few hundred of his discs and I burned a few dozen to my desktop. It was a lot of 70's classic stuff like those you mentioned (Supertramp, Jackson Browne, Bruce Springsteen ) and others like Bowie, Elton, Phil Collins, etc. For me, it's not a question of appreciation, it's the time to listen, digest, and appreciate. I have trouble listening to all the things my meager budget allows me to purchase. Lol. Someday. That's what I tell myself.
