Drinking a strawberry lemonade sour from Blake's Hard Cider.
Yuck. That would give me heartburn for a week.
My wife likes that kind of stuff. Its okay to have a sip or two, but there's no way I'd drink a whole bottle. Way too sweet.

It's that time of year! Bought my first sixer of the season today and just cracked one open.

I just watched a story on the local news about a bar whose patrons were upset because they could only buy Bud Light and Bud Select in cans; the bar's supplier was out of bottles (blaming the pandemic - ?). These poor saps were mad that they could only buy Bud in cans because the cans "ruin the taste".
Like it F'n matters what the hell you drink any Budweiser product from. Drink it from a bucket or a trough or a toilet, it won't change the taste one bit! People bitching about Bud products only coming in a can instead of a bottle is the funniest thing I've seen on TV in a long time!

I had never drank Budweiser so I bought last evening one. It went to the gategory of two sessions during on: the first and the last time I ever touch that shite.

Got this just for as a souvenir, but because it was a four pack and I only need one for display, I had one. It was pretty good! Smooth and not at all bitter, I will certainly be drinking the next two. I will keep the fourth on the top of my CD shelves.

Just tried the Innis & Gunn (Caribbean Rum Cask) Scottish Red Beer.
Don't drink very often anymore as I'm always so tired and worn out from work (I only have Saturday off and work 9-10 hours a day) so this is rare treat. Luckily this turned out to not be a drain pourer.

Happy New Beer!
I've mentioned before that I have a small collection of pint glasses with beer/brewery logos on them, I pick them up at garage sales & thrift shops.
I've had this Sweetwater Brewing Co. glass for a couple of years but had never tried any of their beers till this past week when my local store started stocking these tall boy cans of their IPA. Good stuff. I had one last night for New Year's and I've got another one in the fridge for later.

I had to give all my beer away due to my Afib condition. I had just finished stocking up the "beer cellar" too when I had the first attack in August of 2021. Stopped all alcohol then but I hung on to the beer cellar in hopes that one day...Then this past September I had another afib attack and this time it didn't correct on it's own and I had to have a procedure done in the hospital. So that was it. I gave my friend probably close to $1000 in beer. And most of it had been aging in the cellar for a year too. I almost cried as we were loading up his SUV with my beer. We had to lower the back seats there was so much of it. Gave him a 2L of Skyy vodka too. Now there's zero alcohol in the house.

Sorry to hear about that, I know how much you loved beer. However, your health should always be top priority so good to see you take such a big step.
