Now that I have that song stuck in your mind, I'll get on with the real reason I am making this thread. Have you ever ran into someone online or in person that greatly affected your life? Just random places where you see someone that unbeknownst to them, they are a part of who you are.
It happened to me last night on youtube. Back in the 80's there was this radio station that played underground metal music once a week late at night. It was this station that guided me on my metal journey for the most part. It wasn't like I could go online to look up a band. I relied on magazines, friends, and radio. Of course most radio sucked, much like today, but this one station played the real stuff once a week. They also played industrial and jazz of all things.
I used to religiously listen to this station once a week so I could hear what new bands were out. I would sit there well after bed time on a school night, with my headphones on so as not to let my grandmother know I was still up, and listen to this thing every week. Every song that I liked, I would hope the DJ would say the band name so I could write it down and go out and buy the record or tape.
Well, as fate would have it, I actually ran into a DJ from that station while searching for music on youtube last night. I mean what are the chances? It's not like I was on the stations youtube channel, or stalking this dude for years trying to find him. I just happened to read a comment he left about how he used to play the band I was listening to on his radio station. It blew me away to run into the dude that was responsible for me discovering bands like Slayer, Bathory, Mercyful Fate, Possessed, Exodus, ect ect...The music he introduced me to is still a major part of my life to this day.
Anyways, I was just wondering if any of you have had something similar happen? Guess it doesn't have to be music related, could be anything.
