First off, there are some oddities.

How did Creed make it on a list with the word "metal"? I guess they just wanted to make fun of Creed, period.

Insane Clown Posse are a rap group, so what are they doing here?

Of course, I don't consider hair bands (Poison, Warrant, Winger, Britny Fox, etc.) or nu-metal (Limp Bizkit is the only nu-metal band on the list; Marilyn Manson is considered nu-metal in some circles, but I wouldn't say that, even though I'm not a fan) to be metal, but both were/are promoted as metal bands by the media.

Finally, there are several genuinely good songs on the list.

Grim Reaper were a good band, and "See You in Hell" is a great song. I like Loudness, but they have many, many songs that are way, way better than "Crazy Nights". "The Last in Line" and "Balls to the Wall" are classics. I am a huge Judas Priest fan, but I'm not too fond of "Turbo Lover". I love Iron Maiden, but "Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter" is one of their weakest songs (although, it technically isn't a Maiden song; I remember it was a song Bruce Dickinson recorded solo for a movie soundtrack, and Maiden re-recorded it, and it was released as a single).

What is your opinion on this list?

Frankly, I think it's a pretty good list. There's only a few songs on there I don't like.

Is this the list from the VH1 show? Some of those picks really ticked me off, esp. "Holy Diver" and "Crazy Nights." If it were a list of awesomely bad metal VIDEOS, maybe they would qualify, but bad SONGS, no way.

These kind of lists are laughable and discusting all at the same time. Most of the mainstream music avenues wouldn't know good music if it bit them on the a** (which as we know, metal does that almost all the time). If they did, Brittney Speared, N'Suck, Backdoor Boys, M&M, and Justin Timberdoodle would have never reached the charts.

How can this be a list of bad METAL songs if there's hardly any metal bands on it? Who did that?

Because this list was compiled by the VH1 television network here in the US, which continues to perpetuate the stereotype that Trixter and Britny Fox were "metal" bands... even though most of us know better....
