| Looking at the box score this looks like it was a bullpen start for the Pirates.
Looks like Gift got his first major league hit too. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Watched the Cardinals win game one of today's split doubleheader with Toronto even though they tried like hell to give the damn game away.
Man the Cardinals are playing some ugly baseball this season. Today it was two more errors in the field, another man picked of at second base (the third at that base in a week and 4th overall in a week), running into outs on the bases while you're still several runs down and walking guys left and right.
But despite all that and being down 4-0 after 6 today the Cardinals rallied, tied it up in the bottom of the 9th and Matt Carpenter hit a grand slam in the 11th for the 8-4 win. Good thing the Blue Jays bullpen is a dumpster fire. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Cards won game 2 as well, 6-4.
Back to .500 after starting the season 3-9. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

The last few minutes of that game were simply intense.

| Watched the Pirates offense explode and beat the Marlins 12-2. Where was this earlier this season? Osuna goes 4 for 5, Ngoepe in his first start goes 3 for 3 with two walks,a triple and his first major league RBI, and Taillon finally gets some run support to back up his stellar pitching. Let's hope it continues. | |

| In the Cards game last night I saw something I've never seen before. I mean I've seen guys get picked off at third before but not immediately after a walk to the batter.

| Currently watching the Cubs at Red Sox.
This is like watching the Patriots play the Rams. Can't both teams lose???? _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| Currently flipping back and forth between the Pirates @ Marlins and the Penguins @ Capitals. The Bucs are winning 3-0 and there is no score in the hockey game after one period. | |

| Ivan Nova pitched a fantastic game, going the complete game and only 3 hitting the Marlins. The Pirates win 4-0.
The Pens and Caps are tied 1-1 in the 2nd period.

| Penguins take game 2 6-2 and actually make it look rather easy. Love having a 2-0 series lead. | |

| Typical Pirates. Only they can squander a 3-0 lead and fall behind 8-3. This win would have put them at .500 but naturally they fail badly. | |

| Cardinals are in the process of blowing a 4-0 lead. Leake left after 6 with a 4-1 lead. It's now 5-4 Reds in the top of the 9th. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

Neither are very interesting right now. The Cards are losing 4-2 to the Brewers and RAW is...well RAW. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.

| This pisses me off. Why in god's name is Tyler Glasnow pitching in the Majors? 22 pitches,no outs and down 3-0 already. He starts and it's an automatic loss. | |

| That's what I say every time the Cardinals bring in Jonathan "Fatboy" Broxton from the bullpen. Hell, might as well throw me out there; I can have an ERA over 9 for a lot less money than he's getting. _________________ "The cat is the most ruthless, most terrifying of animals." - Spock in the "Catspaw" episode of ToS Season 2.
