"Predator" (1987)
Arnold Schwarzenegger leads a team of commandos into the South American jungles on a rescue mission, where they're targeted by a technologically advanced hunter from another world. Will anyone make it out alive? I saw "Predator" during its theatrical run in '87 (good Lord, that was 30 years ago!) and it's still my favorite Schwarzenegger movie - mainly because for juuuuust a little while it looks like Ahhh-nold might actually lose. It's been quite a few years since I last saw it but "Predator" is still holding up very well.

Excellent film with an excellent supporting cast. Another film I've never tired of watching.

"Predator 2" (1990)
This underrated sequel drops the alien big-game hunter into the urban jungle of Los Angeles, where he lands in the middle of a turf war between rival drug dealing gangs and tangles with a tough L.A. cop (Danny Glover). "2" is not necessarily better than the first "Predator," but it's certainly bigger, louder, and splashier, with lots of machine gun fire, explosions, and breaking glass. It also has a great supporting cast that includes genre faves like Robert Davi, the late Bill Paxton, and even sleaze-TV legend Morton Downey Jr. as ... a sleazy tabloid TV reporter. "2" hasn't aged as well as the original but it's still entertaining.

The Censoring of Bill Hicks - Documentary on the great man focusing on his struggles with the U.S TV networks which goes a long way to explain why he was so insanely popular in the U.K and Australia while remaining strictly underground in his home country.

"The Executioner Part II" (1984)
A shell shocked Vietnam vet goes vigilante and starts killing muggers and rapists on the city streets. Yup, that's the whole plot.
This flick is legendary in bad movie circles for its total ineptitude in pretty much every department. The story is non existent, the acting/dubbing/dialogue sucks and the "action" scenes are hilariously awkward. I've seen porno with higher production values and better performances than this.
Fun fact: there was no "Executioner Part I." The producers hoped that fans of "The Exterminator" w/Robert Ginty would be suckered in by the similar sounding title and think this was a sequel to that film.

Rodan (1956)
Toho's first color kaiju movie, this one deals with a mining town uncovering some giant prehistoric monsters, including worm-like creatures and 2 of the eponymous creatures, pteranadon type dinosaurs. The Rodans wreak havoc across Japan. Tons of fun from my youth.

This is one of the monsters that the Gamera series does better. Gaos is essentially a flat-headed version of Rodan and looks A LOT better IMO. I've never been a fan of Rodan because I think the creature design looks silly and the flying scenes look awkward. Even as a kid I remember thinking the closeups of Rodan's face looked goofy. And flying around wreaking havoc by creating hurricane-strength winds isn't scary.
Rodan looks a lot better in the post-2000 films he's in but so does Gaos so I still think Daiei beats Toho in this one.

Godzilla vs King Ghidorah (1991) Second sequel in the Heisei series (after the reboot of Godzilla 1984), this wild story deals with time travel, cyborgs and a reborn and even stronger Godzilla. This one had so so special effects (Ghidorah barely flaps it's wiwings when flying) and some really bad lapses in the script. Still I totally enjoy it.

Same here! I love that one because it's totally off the wall.
And it explains the origin of King Ghidorah, my favorite Toho monster.
Of course it also completely ignores the fact that 20 years ago King Ghidorah was "Monster Zero" on another planet but who needs logic when it comes to these films?

An episode about cats so of course I find it hilarious.

The Good Neighbor on Netflix
2 teens set-up an elaborate prank to screw with the cranky old man neighbor. Things take a turn and hilarity does not ensue.
RocknRolla
Director Guy Ritchie's follow-up to 'Snatch' and 'Lock, Stock and 2 Smokin' Barrels'. This one wasn't quite as good as those first 2, which I love. Still pretty good though. In the end credits, they tease a sequel 'The REAL RocknRolla', but that never came to be. I guess doing Sherlock Holmes movies paid better for Guy.

Maniac(1980)- A serial killer(Joe Spinell) stalks the streets on NYC looking for young women to add to his growing scalp collection. This was extremely controversial when it was first released and was included on the infamous "Video Nasty" list in England back in the 80's for it's gory violence and misogynistic tone. Spinell (who also co-wrote the film) is great as the killer along with some cool gory effects supplied by Tom Savini. Directed by Bill Lustig who would go on to directed the Maniac Cop series. I give it 4 out of 5 bloody scalps.
