I posted this on Facebook recently, but if you dig Monster Magnet's more psychadelic stuff, check out Baby Woodrose. In that style, both bands sound nearly identical.
They all have a certain charm to them, but starting around Powertrip and going through till Mastermind, they really hit their hard rock pinnacle. Prior to those, they had a more psychedelic vibe. Their last album, The Last Patrol seemed to get back a little more to their stoner roots.

I think Superjudge is where they really came into their own. The self-titled, Spine of God, and the Tab EP can be a chore to listen to if you're looking for something that rocks in a bit more of a straightforward manner. Still really cool albums, but not quite albums you "rock out" to.

Yep, I picked up Spine of God recently and I dig its slow doomy psych jams, but it's definitely something I would need to be "in the mood" to listen to, whereas I can put on their "hard rock" stuff like Powertrip or God Says No anytime.

That's quite possible. Powertrip is where I discovered the band, hearing it on radio/MTV and seeing them live touring that album, so it's kinda been my starting point of reference all these years later. I didn't get Superjudge till just a few years ago.

Yeah, Superjudge was my intro to the band, particularly the video for "Twin Earth." .

All you need is Superjudge, dopes and possibly Powertrip. God Says No has a few good tracks, in particular Silver Future. I've really been disappointed in their output post-God Says No.

Eh, I could almost make the argument for that grouping. While I do NOT agree that their post-God stuff is sub-par, for a casual fan that just wants a sampling of their stuff without going balls-deep, those albums are a fine start.

A good start, sure, but certainly not "all you need." Of course, no one needs any of them, but you know what I mean.
And honestly, as good as it is, I don't think Powertrip is one of their best. I'd probably rank it just above Superjudge, Spine of God, the self-titled, and the Tab EP.
