2016 releases you picked up so far

Scored 2 more 2016 releases during my short stay in europe this week:

- Almanac: tsar (very good album except for the symphonic elements which i hate).

- Dynazty: titanic mass (enjoyable melodic metal).

Anyone picked up any of those yet?

I didn't know these dudes had a new record, so I will definitely check this out, at least on Spotify. They are a fun band.

Also, looking up this album on Amazon informed me that Sunstorm and Ted Poley both have new albums coming out next week, so I will check those out too.

I don't follow melodic rock as much as I was a few years ago, but all of these artists have been pretty solid all around so, worth looking into.

As for dynazty, i recommend it.

Abnormality - Mechanisms of Ominscience
Artillery - Penalty by Perception
Gorguts - Pleiades Dust
Gruesome - Dimensions of Horror
Inherit Disease - Ephemeral
Vektor - Terminal Redux

The new artillery is very good. Easily one of the best albums of 2016 so far.

I forgot to add Zakk Wylde - "Book of Shadows II"

I think 2016 is the year I finally admit I'm behind the curve.

There's been a ton of new music in the collection, but it's mostly reissues or stuff from last year I should have been more timely about grabbing!

Just four 2016 releases for me thus far - the new Anthrax, Megadeth, Metal Church and Lunar Shadow's "Triumphator" EP.

Flotsam and jetsam & iron savior.

Two awesome releases. Highly recommended.

Your thoughts on the new artillery?

I recently picked up the new Flotsam And Jetsam and my next one should be the new Death Angel.

I've picked up quite a few cds to add to my collection, but I don't think I've added anything new in 2016 since my last post back in April.

I would've had a copy of the new Flots album if some dickbag hadn't sniped it from me in the last 5 seconds on ebay this past weekend.

This very morning:
- accuser: the forlorn divide.
- grand magus: sword songs.

Can't wait to spin them on my way back home this afternoon.

I still haven't given the new Vektor a real listen yet, but I've been meaning to. The mood hasn't struck me yet.

The new Gorguts is bitchin' though. Really tight stuff. Didn't even feel like it was thirty minute track.

What's gorguts style like? Sounds like black metal?

I don't know what their recent albums sound like, but they are a death metal band. I'm not a huge DM guy, but their debut, Considered Dead, is fantastic.

Yes. I bought it several weeks ago. I like it very much. It's a return to their sound on Hammer Of The North. Lots of catchy, punchy, anthemic songs.

Any 2016 releases you picked up lately?

My most recent include vicious rumors, death angel, accuser, anvil, paradox, spellcaster and striker.

Currently awaiting my copy of kryptos (highly recommended band). Sodom and rage are also still missing from my collection.
