2016 releases you picked up so far

I have no plans to, as I am not a fan. I did however see a billboard on the interstate this morning on the drive into work promoting the band and new album.

You don't often see that sort of promotion for a metal band in this day and age. Their record company must have alot riding on the success of this album.

I did hear more samples from A7X's album and i was not too impressed. Was basically curious since hail to the king was an unexpectedly amazing platter.

I've tried to get into them, but they never did much for me. The Stage (Song) sounded cool, but wasn't knocking my socks off.

Hail To The King sounded like "A7X Plays The Black Album" to me!

Since this last post, I did pick up Metal Church "XI", Cheap Trick "Bang, Zoom, Crazy, Hello", Death Angel "The Evil Divide" and most recently Testament "Brotherhood of the Snake".

Peeps on here seem to be liking the new Suicidal album, so I will likely listen to that one. I haven't gotten anything from them since "The Art of Rebellion".

Still need to get the new testament.

I also spotted on the Internet a metal shop with lots of rare pearls in paris. So i will make sure to pay it a visit next week while there.

I also bought Testament's new album recently, and I am spinning it right now.

1) Hammerfall - built to last: second listen so far. Album is getting better and better.

2) kryptos - burn up the night: excellent classic metal with sodom style vocals. Highly highly recommended. Band hails from india.

I bought the new Epitaph album, Sinner Waketh, recently.

Ive only bought 1 CD this entire year and it was at the beginning of the year which was David Bowie - Blackstar

My last night in paris. So far i picked up 42 cds including some 2016 releases: paragon, scanner, rage, herman frank, sodom, Testament and destruction.

Forgot to add mystic prohecy to the list.

Attick demons - let's raise hell. Not sure these guys are popular on this board. Still, highly recommended album and one of 2016's highlights.

HF = HammerFall
IE = Iced Earth

HammerFall are Helloween/Rainbow inspired. Iced Earth are more of a thrashy Maiden.

So, someone saying HammerFall and Iced Earth "sound identical" is pretty damn funny if you're familiar with both bands.
