Yes, you need to change that! Then get the live releases Rock In Rio and En Vivo to really get a feel for the songs!

You know, I was thinking of doing a Saxon song battle, but then I figured it's a lot of work to draw songs from such a huge catalogue and people will just vote for the old stuff like Princess of the Night and Crusader without thinking. My next thought was to have a Saxon battle limited to post-Crusader albums, but no that wouldn't work as not everyone is familiar with them. And then I just figured I'll do a similar poll, but with Iron Maiden, since most everyone knows their reunion albums.

We could still do Saxon though, if someone's willing to put in the effort. This was an easy one, with only 5 albums to draw songs off of

No need to beat around the bush - this is probably my favourite reunion era Maiden song.

Out of the Silent Planet - vs - The Thin Line Between Love and Hate
Another big personal fave. A little different from all other Maiden epics. And it's my favourite track off of Brave New World.

El Dorado - vs - The Pilgrim
The Pilgrim has a nice, big melody line, and it's great. But maybe a little boring. I like the vibe in El Dorado.

Different World - vs - The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg
Together with the Pilgrim, Benjamin Breeg is probably my least favourite track off of A Matter of Life and Death.

Dream of Mirrors - vs - Journeyman
I like that Journeyman is so different from what Maiden has done before, but it still doesn't rank too high for me.

Dance of Death - vs - Brighter than a Thousand Suns
This is very close. Brighter than a Thousand Suns is great. The fast middle part and the end with Bruce wailing makes it the winner. Hardest choice so far.

Blood Brothers - vs - If Eternity Should Fail
Best song off the new album, in my opinion. Blood Brothers is nice, but has kind of worn off its appeal to me.

Montsegur - vs - Brave New World
I'll take Montsegur, but it's a tough choice again. That chorus is great, and the way Bruce delivers it, I love it.

"At the gates and the walls of Montsegur,
blood on the stones of the citadel"

Wildest Dreams - vs - Rainmaker
Neither ranks too high for me, but Rainmaker is definitely a catchy song.

The Red and the Black - vs - No More Lies
The Red and the Black has a little bit of an X-Factor feel to it. I really like it.

Tears of a Clown - vs - The Longest Day
Tough choice. And the songs are so different. I guess Tears of a Clown wins for me, partly because it's still more fresh. Catchy melody, too.

Isle of Avalon - vs - Ghost of the Navigator
Easy choice. Ghost of the Navigator is awesome, and Isle of Avalon to me doesn't even rank near the better tracks off of Final Frontier.

Empire of the Clouds - vs - The Book of Souls
The Book of Souls has quickly become one of my favourite new Maiden tunes. It's quite an incredible track. I love it. Empire of the Clouds... honestly I haven't quite fully digested it.

Starblind - vs - When the Wild Wind Blows
Two greats tracks towards the end of Final Frontier... I guess I still like Wild Wind more. But it's close.

The Wicker Man - vs - Speed of Light
Two real good, straight forward, classic Maiden tracks. Too bad they (randomly) ended up against each other so early. Speed of Light wins. I love that chorus. Very memorable. Wicker Man has a nice big main riff, even if it's lifted off of Judas Priest's Running Wild.

Paschendale - vs - These Colours Don't Run
"These Colours" has everything you could wish for in a Maiden song. Powerful, melodic, epic, catchy, good lyrics and a little bit of 'woo-o-o' gang shouts. Paschendale I kind of grew tired of. It used to be my favourite off of Dance of Death. Very proggy.

Good choice for a battle. Some tough choices here.
