I discovered a Sandy Denny related band/album through YouTube the other day, Fotheringay. It's really great stuff, a little more psychedelia influenced than Fairport Convention from what I've heard.
Here's the Live at the Beat Club performance that i initially stumbled onto.
and here's a song from their lone album.

I'm more of a Loggins and Messina guy than a Seals & Crofts guy, but they both have some good tracks. My folk excursions lately have been more "world-music" oriented, mainly Irish and Scottish folk. Folks like Dick Gaughan, Dougie MacLean, Paul Brady, Christy Moore, Aly Bain, etc.
But to stick to the topic, I've fallen in love with the late Kate Wolf as of late. She flirts with country and bluegrass, but it's usually sparse and not too honky-tonkin' or anything.
