I got some good stuff from the Salvation Army for two dollars a piece. There was a ton of other good stuff there that I didn't get because it was either too banged up or tempting, but not exactly what I was looking for. I left behind Frank SInatra's "September of my years" because he has a kind of swag that annoys me. Roy Orbison went back to the shelves because it's just too hokey and saccharine. Lep Zeppelin's Remasters was left because I don't like that mid-70s stuff that's more like bluesy hard rock than metal. Metal to me is piercing vocals and melodic wailing guitars.
What I did get: Def Leppard - Mirror Ball: Live & More Winger - Winger Winger - In the Heart of the Young Extreme - Extreme
Is that alright?

Good stuff right there. The Rick Savage-penned track, "Kings of the World," on Mirror Ball is such a great song. Could have been a Queen song.

Ah, good to know.
It's not that I don't listen sometimes to stuff like Sinatra or Roy, it's just that I really wanted more oldschool metal in my collection. Had to pass up on Kiss - Nightcreatures, the first Van Halen album, David Lee Roth's album (the one with Yankee Rose), and even Skid Row because they were either scratched to high heaven or missing the CD. Although I'm not sure if I should've passed on the Sinatra or Orbison albums just because they were so cheap and in overall top shape, however, I don't like acquiring more than I am willing to really take the time to listen to if I prefer another genre more, and I am gracious enough to hope someone else who loves them more will be blessed to find them for a bargain price.
