Any good? Amazon keeps shoving these guys in my face as recommendations. I've played a few :30 samples and it sounds decent enough, if not a bit generic, which probably keeps me from getting something from them. And pricewise too. For cheap, I'd probably give 'em a shot, but I'm not paying top dollar for an unknown anymore.
Yeah, they're not doing anything new. Stoner doom/hard rock kind of stuff. Definitely good for what they're doing, but maybe not something you'd want to pay full retail price for. I paid $5 for it.

That's kinda what I figured. I'll keep an eye on them. If the price is right, then sure, maybe.

I've never heard anything Steinman did that was not with Meat Loaf. Looking at the cover of this CD on Amazon, I need to check it out ASAP.

Saw this in Walmart and put it back because it annoyed me that "Am I Evil?" and "Blitzkrieg" weren't included.

Why would they be? I mean they didn't show up until the Elektra reissues in 1988, right? Those would have been a nice bonus though, with maybe some live tracks. It was only $5, so it was worth it for me just to hear the remaster job.

I know they weren't on the original, but they're such classic Metallica tunes that it just doesn't make sense to me not to include them.

Alot of tunes on this album such as 'Surf's Up' and 'Rock n Roll Dreams' would later be recorded by Meat Loaf, actually this was suppose to be a Meat Loaf album, but the two men had a falling out ( not their first or last) and Steinman felt he could do it on his own.

When I was first making the transition from tape to cd, the first copy of Kill 'em All I got at a used store didn't have those 2 tracks on 'em and I was pissed. I would eventually trade that one in for a version that did have 'Am I Evil' and 'Blitzkrieg', which I have to this day. That version is just so ingrained into my conscience that it wouldn't seem complete without them.

I remember when Elektra first reissued Kill'em All back in '88, the johnny-come-latelies to Metallica at my high school were all excited because it had two "new" tracks on it. Naturally those of us who were "in the know" were all high and mighty about the fact that we'd been enjoying those two "new" songs since 1985, when they first came out on the Creeping Death single.
...yeah, we were dicks.

I remember having the Creeping Death EP on cassette. Did that ever make it to a CD pressing? I have the songs already, but I was just curious.

Not by itself, but it was released with the Jump In The Fire single on CD. It's a neat little compilation of some choice tracks.
