Thanks! I've listened to about half the Metal Church and it's fantastic. Looking forward to hearing the Helloween.

Love Spit Love is essentially Psychedelic Furs.  I have it but haven't listened to it in years.  From what I remember it basically sounds like a P-furs side project.  The only song I really remember is "Am I Wrong" which I think was the single on alternative radio back in the day.

I played it in the car on the ride home from work last night and I hated it. It reminded me of REM and I can't stand them. I never heard a Psychedelic Furs song, but I'm pretty sure I'd hate them too. I let it play through just to make sure it plays without skipping so I can list it on ebay. In fact, all 3 of those discs I purchased are clunkers. They are not welcome in my house. I will not sully my collection with their craptacular existence.

Fun fact: Richard Fortus and Frank Ferrer play on that Love Spit Love album. Both of them went on to be part of the Axl Rose Travelling Circus for a few years. Frank is still drumming in GnR.

I listened to "Am I Wrong" last night and I really think the only reason I like it is because of associated memories. 

But you're right, the music is pretty much angsty, whiny, alternative crap like REM spewed out about the time but of even lesser quality.

I like the Psychedelic Furs and I even like R.E.M. thou I own Love Spit Love, I have not played it eons and honestly do not remember a single on the disc, expect they were trying a little too hard to fit in with angst ridden 90's bands

I actually like some P-Furs too but I can't stand REM.  At least everything from Monster on.  I like their earlier, punkier stuff like what's on "Murmur".

I used to really like 'Monster' but that album has aged badly and really sounds dated. I listened to it Sunday and was surprised how an album used to like alot has fallen in stature, at least to my ears.

For me that's a measure of an albums true greatness.  If I can listen to it 5, 10, 15, 20 or even more years after it was released and still enjoy it, then that's a great album to my mind. 

I can listen to some early Elton John, Billy Joel, Rod Stewart, etc albums and I think they mostly sound like they were recorded recently.  Then I can listen to some albums by Warrant, Ratt, or Poison and it just sounds "dated". 

Rush 2112 is a great example.  That album is almost four decades old but for my money, you'd never know it listening to it now.
