I haven't really been following this case but if the jury only deliberated for 6 hours AND awarded Hogan even more than he was asking for, the evidence against Gawker must have been pretty damning.

I'm watching the TV show Grimm and the plot is surrounding Luchador wrestling and one of the guest stars is none other than Chavo Guerrero Jr. (a bit part, his character just got killed).

That may be, but it was still a surprise to see him on that show.

I meant to do this earlier but it would take too much effort because I could not remember the date, but I found the card for my first WWF event:
WWF @ Dallas, TX - Reunion Arena - May 25, 1991 Jim Duggan pinned Col. Mustafa
WWF IC Champion Mr. Perfect pinned Davey Boy Smith
Jake Roberts defeated Earthquake via disqualification
Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty defeated the Orient Express when Jannetty pinned Tanaka
The Berzerker pinned Tugboat
Ricky Steamboat pinned the Brooklyn Brawler
The Ultimate Warrior defeated the Undertaker via disqualification
I didn't realize it was that long ago nor do I remember most of the matches. But I remember clearly as day hearing Mr. Perfect yell, "s*it" when the British Bulldog wrenched his arm. That was the first time I ever heard a wrestler cuss and the last time until Bret Hart's famous worked shoot. I also remember Ultimate Warrior and Undertaker. My dad took me which was surprising as he hates wrestling. But, he claims to have seen Paul Bearer with his son when he got a quick glimpse backstage.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WWE_Roadblock WWE Roadblock PPV Saturday march 12th, 2016,Toronto, Ontario Pretty good stuff. The New Day tagteam opened being comedians as usual. The joke dies for me after a couple minutes. I actually want The League of Nations (Sheamus and King Barrett, the 2 of the 4 League members) to win from now on. Screw The New Day. the shtick is dying for me.
Chris Jericho became a total prick heel. He insulted Canada, where he grew up and the crowd was shocked. The match with him winning against Jack Swagger was ok, but nothing special. Both good workers, but the promo was better. The WWE dropped the ball by not having another canuck out there to fight Jericho and defend their country and build up a new babyface. If Kevin Owens was not a heel, he would have been perfect.
They added a NXT match, with oldschool-type tagteam The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder), defeated Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady (with Carmella), it all started off with a great pop and both teams didn't disappoint. THIS is exactly what was captivating about wrestling in the past. I will guess that was Triple H's call to add this match, to see if any NXT stars are known by the regular WWE crowds?
Charlotte, with her pop, Ric Flair defeated Natalya. Good backstage promo before it, and solid match. I didn't see any crazy moves / high spots, but a LOT of work done that's for sure. Nattie has always been killer, and I don't want to jinx her, but she is coming along like the female version of Chris Benoit. Always strong and dominate in the ring, always looks cool. I was not impressed with Charlotte before, but she seems to improve a lot with every match. Guess it is in her genes! the other matches...
Brock Lesnar (with Paul Heyman) defeated The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper) . There was nothing special about this match. I don't really feel anything from this storyline, compared to Brock and dean Ambrose.
Sami Zayn defeated Stardust. 2 great, maybe super-great, wrestlers. Can't comment, as it was just another match for me.
Triple H defeated Dean Ambrose, so Triple H remained the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
This was expected. Did anybody think a muscle head like Triple H would ever let a cool guy, a Roddy Piper-type, such as Dean Ambrose get ahead ? Excellent hard hitting match, and who knows, from what we seen the past few months, Ambrose could be a huge superstar. He is popular. Just inches away from being a breakout like Stone Cold or Daniel Bryan or CM Punk. He has the look of a hard rocker / metalhead / bad boy, like how Triple H used to be.

i liked it. i can't say too much but my favourites of that night were ofcourse Jericho acting like a dick (wich is how i want my heels to act like), the NXT tag match and the WWE World heavyweight match.
i think (though it could because of Wrestlemania) the product has improved since Shane being back and the storylines are kinda better. i thaught the Bray wyatt and Lesnar storyline could have been good if they had kept it going after the Royal Rumble (even durring the now fued with Dean Ambrose) but the writers at that point were f*cking dumb (yes the writers can't write worth shit) but with Shane being back the writing is improving (and i kinda hope it keeps improving after Wrestlemania).

Turns out that the reason why Wyatt didn't wrestle that night was due to a back injury. Just the same, there was no way he'd go over Lesnar.

Bray had a back injury, which is why he and lesnar didn't lock up at roadblock.

Yeah, I get that with every feud Bray is in and it's because they've ruined his characters credibility. He came on the scene as the "eater of worlds" (or whatever the hell it was) yet name one feud he and/or his family have ever won. None that I can remember. How dangerous can a guy be when he loses all the time?

I swear WWE creative could screw up a sunny day. Now The New Day are back to being faces??? Why? They were so great as comical heels. Doing the same schtick but as faces just doesn't work for me.

Also, I just saw this online:
Quote :
he dark match at last night's (Mar. 21, 2016) episode of Monday Night Raw in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania featured The Wyatt Family taking on the team of Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, and Sami Zayn. There were multiple issues during the match.
First, Luke Harper appeared to suffer a potentially serious knee injury.
Not only that, a fan attacked Braun Strowmanand was immediately rushed out of the building by security. There are conflicting reports on exactly what happened, such as the possibility that he was struck in the face by said fan, but a fan was thrown out for attacking him.
I know Strowman is a lummox in the ring but that's like the strongest and biggest dude on the roster. Why the hell would you attack that guy?

Sting recently spoke with WWE.com, here are the highlights…
Is His Diagnosis of Spinal Stenosis Accurate?: I am not saying that is inaccurate. I’m agreeing there probably is spinal stenosis or cervical spinal stenosis. I have had certain doctors tell me, “You know, so many athletes of all ages, they’ve got this. They deal with it to some degree or another.” I had one doctor here tell me, “You’re fine, you’re okay — you don’t have anything to worry about.” And then wrestlers say, “I’d see this doctor.” “No, I’d see this one over there.” I’m telling you, it’s just craziness. So I’m thinking, as long as I’m feeling good, why am I going to do anything? And the one thing everyone has said is don’t go under the knife unless you absolutely have to.
Is He Excited For His Hall of Fame Induction?: Oh, absolutely. I got a really good taste of WrestleMania Weekend and what it’s all about last year, and you don’t really understand the scope of it unless you’re actually in it and participating in it — whether you’re a fan, [Superstar] or behind the cameras. But yeah, everywhere I go people are talking about the Hall of Fame. This is huge. I mean, American Airlines Center sells out in one day? It’s crazy.
Has He Thought About His Speech?: Oh yeah, I have, and it’s nerve-wracking, for sure. I know there have been lots of different styles, and sometimes there are guys that have a lot to say [laughs]. But really, the main thing I want to do is just say, “Thank you.” That’s really it. Thank you to the fans, wrestlers, my wife, my kids, God. I’m very grateful for 30 years, I really am — and especially to the fans. That’s probably going to be the gist of what I want to say. I know they love to hear stories — and there are plenty of stories that I could tell, trust me — but, it’s mainly going to be my time to say, “Thank you.”
Will He Wrestle Again?: I have to say it: The only thing for sure about Sting is nothing’s for sure.

maybe kayfabe is back ? The fans are starting to believe that what they are told by the wrestling internet community is false. When accidents happen and are hidden, when the crowd cheers / boo's are drowned out by WWE, it eventually will dawn on the audiences that they are not told the truth. They will come to their own conclusions. Once they learn of the world of "Shoot interviews" by KC, RH, Highspots, etc, then no turning back.

Notice the old saying of "the referee's decision is final" when they make a "mistake"? Look at this. Watch the whole thing but watch around 30 seconds when the ref reverses a decision.

Watching the Hulu version of raw. HHH is tying every heel tactic he can think of (insulting the crowd, running from his opponent, ambushing said opponent) and he still can't get the crowds to boo him and cheer Reigns. Yet, they will still insist on making Reigns the next John Cena (who had to wait over 5 years for people to get tired of him).

It really is amazing isn't it?
They've even tried using blood to make Reigns sympathetic but no dice. That's what happens when creative tries to cram someone down the publics' throat. Remember when they tried to make The Rock and Stone Cold heels? That didn't work either. Time to cut bait and just turn Reigns heel. I think I might actually be able to get behind him in a heel role. Just play up how poorly he was received as a "good guy" and use that as his motivation for turning heel.
That would also set up a lot of natural feuds with guys like Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.
